So, 25 minutes + 1 hour at the airport before + driving to Sde Dov + Masada to Ein Bokek...makes much more than the 2,5 hours drive.....does not seem very interesting to me....

But maybe it's to focus on how neglected the region is, it is beautiful but it's pretty dumpy. It needs to be cleaned up, preserved, companies making crap products with minerals should stop production... Or else there will be no dead sea to vote for.

Every time I take a guest there, I'm ashamed.
It could be such a nice place but it's a dump, dirty and undeveloped !
The govt should invest into tourism development of the Dead Sea instead of building in places that doesn't belong to Israel.
I was on the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea and it's 2000 times better than in Israel !
I think Jordan and Israel should make a common development program for the place. After all, it's a common heritage they both share.
Jordanians are smarter and much more in advance on the topic.
