1. Interesting Correlation
emanon ,   USA   (11.04.11)
Anti-Semitism seems to peak right before a Presidential election.
2. anti-semitic attitudes
magpie ,   anywhere, USA   (11.04.11)
Here's 1 American that has become MORE pro-Israel/Jewish. There is much I don't know or understand, but after doing some diligent reading about Israel's history I have gained a new respect for Israel. When people are hurting, they try to find a scapegoat and, unfortunatly, the Jewish people have long been the target.
3. Anti-Semitism, historically, has always been...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.04.11)
...on the rise during bad economic times, and the United States, as many other countries in the past, is not an exception. The only true home for Jews is AT HOME, Israel!!
4. Looking for Excuses
Moragh   (11.04.11)
So now America is joining the antisemitic brigade.... Lol! Some countries just get funnier by the day!
5. America is moving into the thirld world phase
Al   (11.05.11)
of its existence. The first generations founded the country. The next generations build the county. And these generations are going to bury the country. They are done. As for the Jews therin ,,,well quite frankly they made their bed they'll learn to sleep in it or not. I am not going to shed a tear either way.
6. ADL is no longer a Jewish organization
BH ,   Iowa   (11.04.11)
ADL is a Democrat organization.
7. Foxman better look in the mirror first.
Devorah   (11.04.11)
His pathetic defense, several days ago, of Obama's position toward Israel is nothing short of repulsive: www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4139173,00.html
8. Stereotypes
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (11.05.11)
The stereotypes at the begining of the list are pretty much BS... it's funny how they are associated with Jews but no one else. So many other racial groups will stick together more than Jews. I deffinately think that arabs stick together more than Jews. Mormons too. Jews like to be at the head of things, but really... who doesn't? I think it's crazy how black people are able to have such a huge % when Jews were the main white supporters of them during the civil rights movement.
9. OBAMA'S RHETORIC POINTS TO JEWS
Zimbi ,   NJUSA   (11.05.11)
GUESS WHAT OBAMA GAVE THE JEWS FOR THEIR SUPPORT?

snag ,   USA   (11.05.11)
I don't have to do any or some diligent reading to figure it out that you're phony. That said, all those polls prove one think that you're very insecure part of our society,... I wonder why ??? ,...
11. Anti-Semitism
Lazarus ,   USA   (11.05.11)
Considering the virtual pro-Israel monopoly on news reports in the American media, the fact that the numbers are as high as reported should be a cause for concern.
12. An Israeli will to face anti-Semitism head on, fear nothing.
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.05.11)
13. Why ADL honours an Anti-Semite?
Maple ,   Israel   (11.05.11)
Interesting article but ADL should better watch it's own steps especially when honouring an open Anti-Semite Janos Esterhazy
14. Left-Wing Politics = anti-semitism
Jim Shortz ,   Yahoo City, USA   (11.05.11)
ya know I'm right
15. Antisemitism
Les vadas ,   Kibbutz Massada, Isr   (11.05.11)
In America today, any mention of the N word will destroy a lifetime reputation of good work, however, blatant antisemitism is still socially acceptable.
16. Aniti-semitism is not a fad or fashion.
NNF ,   R.HaSharon Israel   (11.04.11)
04/11/2011 to YNETEnglish Anti-Semitism is not just a fad or fashion. It is endemic and taught by parents to their children. In 1948 ,63 years ago in England I was a 4 yr old at kindergarden. Another 4 yr old boy pushed me off the toys saying "You can't play here! You're JEWish". In 1960 as a 16 yr old, the Biology teacher in Grammar School told me to sit apart from the other pupils saying "we can't mix the yids with the goys, now can we?" etc etc etc. I know that the world is generally igrorant and anti-semitic. Now I live in Israel, the only place in the world I can wear a lapel pin with the Star of David without being afraid or ostracized. No more hiding or pretending for me! But even here in Israel anti-semitism is endemic. In 1991 Israeli Arab Citizens in Taybeh went to the roof tops to cheer Saddam's Scud rockets flying towards TelAviv shouting "Itbach el-Yahud" (Kill The Jews) Now, when I see on the TV and read how the Arabs are doing so well at killing each other, then I am very worried how enthusiastic they feel about the prospect of being allowed to kill the Jews. The Arabs' "peace process" is just designed to weaken Israel's defences and then to go on to murder us all. Build the wall around Israel strong and high! There will always be another war.
17. Abraham Foxman, ADL National Director ,...
split ,   US   (11.05.11)

18. 10 - all those polls prove one think ,...
split ,   US   (11.05.11)
Or that the donations are down. Mr. Madoff menaged to bankrupt quite few donors and fundations.
19. Please write it down:
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.05.11)
This Israeli never encountered anti-Semitism in America. Overwhelmingly, it is Jews complaining once in a while, but anti-Semitism is not a reality of life here. Have you written it down? Thank you.
20. anti semetism in u.s.
moron ,   galut   (11.05.11)
stop apologizing for zionism.for the idf, for religious observance and start apologizing for hollywood and bad actors like madoff and the barney franks of the world
21. Anti-Semitic attidues on rise in America
Harold ,   USA   (11.05.11)
US public and the OWS participants consider Jews are part of the one percent. The same is happening in Europe and other parts of the world.
22. anti-semitism
harris ,   nyc   (11.06.11)
Get real folks everybody hates us.Including left-wing jews who hate Israel.
23. So what does it mean?
Simon ,   Denver, CO US   (11.06.11)
It means that only 16% of the people in US know Israel 15% + 1%. So, 84% out of 99% don't know them
24. split/snag (#10, 17, 18) makes the perfect example...
Tahl   (11.06.11)
Of the sentence mentioned in the article: "Less educated Americans are more likely to hold anti-Semitic views". While it may be somehow acceptable to make an accidental type-o and write the word "think" instead of "thing", repeating this error a second time is a clear sign of educational inadequacy.
25. One response to anti-semitism
Drew ,   St Louis, MO   (11.06.11)
I'm 48, lived most of my life in the US, and 12 years in Israel. Never owned a hand gun before. But I sense the gist of this story is accurate. I'm going out the first chance I get to buy firearms to protect my family, and I hope all other Jews do too. I've had lots of experience with anti-semitism in my life (public school, university, even some in the US military -- 3 incidents from blacks, 2 from whites. Plus I was in at least 25 fistfights in my life, most of them related to anti-semitism. Folks, it never went away, just went somewhat under the radar. Start packing, Yiddin -- both a gun in your holster, and your bags for Israel. It's time...
26. Anti Jewish Propaganda
Bob ,   Boston USA   (11.06.11)
The ADL misses entirely a critical factor in the rise of anti-semitism around the world: the infiltration of militant Islamic Supremecists into America's government, media and universities. These infiltrators plant lies and slanders against Israel and the Jewish people. Any criticism of them is labeled as "Islamophobia". The dupes in those institutions so far have bought their line. It looks like the ADL has too. People that criticised the Nazis in 1939 weren't "anti german". So too someone that warns of the dangers of Militant Islam is not "anti-muslim", just a brave realist. If the ADL doesn't recognize this, they have just become "useful idiots", tools of Militant Islam.
27. MUST KEEP FOXMAN IN A JOB
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (11.06.11)
He is a professional scaremonger.
28. And it will get worse if Obama's reelected
Sue ,   Los Angeles   (11.06.11)
TBers who said it is linked to the bad U.S. economy are correct. Jews are always the traditional scapegoat. However, Obama is pouring gasoline on the anti-Semitic flames with his support of the Occupy Wall Street protests. This is what failed leaders do. Instead of fixing the economy, they find someone else to blame. Obama has not once condemned the anti-Semitic remarks made at the OWS protests across the nation - more proof that he agrees with the anti-Jewish sentiments of his former spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright, and another reason to vote for his Republican opponent (who ever he may be) one year from today.
29. where do thease neo nazis come from
(11.06.11)
30. antisemitism mostly in blacks and hispanics from outside US
david ,   new york   (11.07.11)
numbers: 17 % of all surveyed (black, whites and hispanics) but 44% of foreign born hispanics 35% of american blacks. the reason for this is that american culture shuns antisemitism as racism. however, american blacks are allowed to be racist (they can talk all about "the whites" but no white person can talk about "the blakcs" etc.). Foreign born hispanics grew up in places where antisemitism/racism was never shunned.
