61. To #24 Ali with sincere regret
John ,   Alaska   (11.05.11)
You will never have a seaport, be members of the UN or anything similar. You have forfeited these things by _your_ hatred of Israel. If you stop shooting rockets and mortars and other weapons to try to kill Jews, then you would live in peace. If you are not part of the Gazans who hate and want to kill Jews, then please for your own sake, flee Gaza before G-d's judgement falls on it. One last thought: nobody actually hates _you_. The actions of Gaza have been reprehensible, abhorrent, inexcusable and despicable. But you as people are simply people. If you repent of your hatred of Jews and renounce your violence, then you will treated as good neighbors at that time. I know you won't accept it, but that invitation has always been there for you.
62. ...Oui, Maurice, numero six...
Spanky McFarland ,   St. John's, Canada   (11.05.11)
And you Frenchies will be with us. Your banks are looking pretty flimsy right now.
63. just a bunch of self righteous elitists ...they think they
rachel` ,   usa   (11.05.11)
know everything better then anyone .Just a bunch of phonies looking for adventures ...
64. the ships
Jerry G ,   Sugar Land, Texas   (11.05.11)
These people will keep doing this forever unless we stop them. When the ship is stopped, send a team down and a small charge to the propeller and blow it off or bend it. The ship is not going anywhere. Leave them their. They will have to have it towed. This will cost them much money. The insurer will not like this and they will stop insuring them. No one with money will risk a ship to them. But I would rather sink it with all in their life rafts. Well most all.
65. We’re talking about precedent
Stephen Greenberg   (11.05.11)
We’re talking about precedent. Soup and diapers today, Chinese missiles tomorrow.
66. #47,55 Miles of Smiles aid convoy made it in Gaza, yesterday
observer ,   Egypt   (11.05.11)
67. why detaining them in international water, bringing to Israe
observer ,   Egypt   (11.05.11)
to force them to sign paper that they entered Israel's territories without authorization, as is the case every time.
68. ordered them to go back or to sail to Egypt's port
(11.05.11)
refutes Israel's allegation of suspected smuggled weapons on board. The usual procedure should have been preliminary search for weapon and securing the boat if towing to a port is still necessary. No such search heard of. Israel was 100% sure there were no weapons on board.
69. To #24, Ali
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (11.05.11)
Yes, you are correct. You deserve the ability to live, prosper and determine your own destiny. This prosperity and dignity, can't however occur from the genocide of another. I think that you will find most Israeli's will support your dream, when the day comes that your leaders openly express a commitment to recognize Israel's right to exist, and the Israeli's right to live! As long as your leaders call for my destruction, and the destruction of my country, I will look to frustrate your designs.
70. Israel -- SEIZE and SELL the boats
Howard Immanuelson ,   US   (11.05.11)
Israel, SELL the boats used in the flotilla and you'll both recover the costs associated with the intercept and stop all future flotillas!
71. To: No. 52
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.05.11)
Yes. The vessel charterers will very definitely have to pay the towing fees -- they did, after all, lie about the purpose of their sail. They will also have to account to the international community why they LIED about being a so-called "humanitarian aid" voyage. "Humanitarian aid" vessels are actually expected to carry -- GASP! -- humanitarian aid! Are you so stupid that you do not understand when you are being played? Fortunately, Israel is considerably smarter. As far as international shipping law is concerned, here are the violations: 1. Engaging in a voyage charter under false pretenses. 2. Failure to load cargo as described in the claim of the voyage charter. 3. Violation of international law of insurance coverage for cargo by stating cargo that was not actually aboard the vessel(s). 4. Violation of the INF code which requires chaterparties to accurately describe cargo carriage. 5. Flying a flag that is not the flag of the vessel's jurisdiction. You're in my wheelhouse now, baby idiot. There isn't anything about shipping law that I do not know. Care to respond? Probably not, but why don't you give it the old third-grade try? I'm waiting. I'm waiting.
72. #2 Gilad ?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.05.11)
Somebody has to bless them, they're idiots
73. #24 Ali Gaza
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.05.11)
Israel left Gaza, rocket fire from Gaza into Israel intensified, more than 10,000 of those deadly missiles have been fired at us Concerning the "Blockade", you attempted to smuggle in arms, using vessles posing as innocent merchant vessels, they were found to be laoded with arms & munitions to kill and destroy Israeli's Google "Karin A & Santorini", for the details
74. Flotillas
Naftali   (11.05.11)
These idiots cost us money with Tzahal having to deal with them. Let's bill them. put them in jail till the bill is paid. That will make them think twice.
75. Had storm yesterday :D
Hope they vomited ,   all the way   (11.05.11)
76. #41 blind man
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.05.11)
The blockade is LEGAL, and you would know this if you read any commentary on the REAL international law, not the fantasies you keep in your head. The Palmer report also stated it is legal. And, as you also know, Cast Lead was a result of the indiscriminate bombardment of Israel by Hamas. And the only way Israel "caused" this was by leaving Gaza and giving the "Pals" a chance to see how they would build their community. Well, Israel got it's answer and found it necessary to respond.
77. Hypocrisy
eddy ,   Africa   (11.05.11)
Why not sending flotillas to Somalia, Syria or Yemen??
78. FLOTILLA MANIACS !
Mark ,   T.a. israel   (11.05.11)
LET THEM PUT IN A PSYCHIATRIC ASYLUM WITH DANGEROUS CRAZY GUYS FOR A WEEK THEN YOU WILL NOT SEE AGAIN FOREVER !!!
79. #76 did the UN’s entry into conflict change this into IAC
observer ,   Egypt   (11.05.11)
panel of five independent U.N. rights experts reporting to the U.N. Human Rights Council concluded that the blockade had subjected Gazans to collective punishment in "flagrant contravention of international human rights and humanitarian law. The four-year blockade deprived 1.6 million Palestinians living in the enclave of fundamental rights. In pronouncing itself on the legality of the naval blockade, the Palmer Report does not recognise the naval blockade as an integral part of Israel's closure policy towards Gaza which has a disproportionate impact on the human rights of civilians. The goal of Palmar report is political to mend the relation between Israel &Turkey, failing to do so Palmer is going to retract his report. the conflict between Israel and Hamas was not an International Armed Conflict (IAC) because one of the parties to the conflict was not a party to the Geneva Conventions and the other party (Israel) failed to fulfill an important condition for IAC, The Declaration Of War.
80. aid
Sam M ,   UK   (11.05.11)
As if the gaza strip which is ranked close to the top of the united nations world obesity index actually needs any aid! Not that any of these useless idiots have any real aid! It's all an excuse to delegitimize Israel. The palestinians are saturated with aid for entirely political reasons while desperately poor and far more deserving people in less fortunate parts of the world wait at the back of the queue. These activists are a bunch of pretentious and sanctimonious phonys. Good riddance to them.
81. Lawless ones
John ,   Arizona City, USA   (11.05.11)
If you set out to break laws of another country then by definition you are the lawless ones. Would your own country want you back? Which laws do you choose to obey??
82. #79 blind man
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.06.11)
Everything you don't agree with, no matter who says it, is 'political'. This is a theme running through all of your posts. You turn your closed eyes away from International Law, while calling everything you don't agree with a 'violation' of same. Although you refuse to admit you are wrong, other's much more knowledgable than you sometimes do so, as in Goldstone, who stated the opposite of what you say about the LEGAL blockade. Oh, but that's 'political’, right? Read about the person upon whom you pin your ridiculous statements: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4050990,00.html
83. #79 blind man - Part 2
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.06.11)
1. "failing to do so Palmer is going to retract his report. " You are now a fortune teller. Congratulations. 2. The Palmer Report stated that the naval blockade of the Hamas-ruled strip was legal. Your "panel of five independent U.N. rights experts" is laughable as the UNHRC is anything but, and totally anti-Israel. 3. The arabs declared war in 1948. A peace treaty was never signed: only an armistice. (The 1948 lines are therefore not borders.) You also want to hide behind the fact that Hamas terrorists are not a party to the Geneva Convention? Typical of you.
84. #82
observer ,   Egypt   (11.06.11)
Goldstone was but one of four panel members designated by the UN Human Rights Council, and considering that the other three publicly reaffirmed their confidence in the original conclusion as presented in the report. Failure to consult with other members of the team before rushing to retract his view, only discredited earlier Goldstone effort to restore his tarnished Zionist credentials.
85. #84 blind man
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.06.11)
To state that the UNHRC is not biased is absurd, While the other members of the committee claim to be impartial, Jilani, Travers and Chinkin all signed open letters accusing Israel of “war crimes” long before the panel began to deliberate in 2009. Confidence in their confidence is misplaced in the extreme. And Goldstone did not ‘rush’ to retract his view; he took his time. It is the credentials of the other three members of the committee that are tarnished. They were, from even before they were on the committee. Ever hear the term “kangaroo court”?
86. cargo would have privileged Israel combatant in int'l confli
observer ,   Egypt   (11.06.11)
If the “cost” of humanitarian cargo would have been formally recognizing Israel blockade on Gaza.
87. Not a Canadian ship
Dustin ,   Toronto, Canada   (11.06.11)
The "Tahir" had only 3 Canadian passengers was built in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, is registered in Turkey, set sail from Turkey, flies the Turkish flag and is owned by Kiran Holdings from Istanbul, Turkey. It is a Turkish ship with very few Canadians on board they are essentially just using the name of this country for propaganda purposes.
88. #71, Collective punishment+ NIAC = illegal blockade
observer ,   Egypt   (11.06.11)
A panel of five independent U.N. rights experts reporting to the U.N. 89. #88 observer
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.06.11)
Gazans can leave and enter through your own country Egypt. All the rest is from a kangaroo court, per a previous response. If you insist on repeating idiocy, why bother reading our responses. Just post the same stuff time and again (which you sometimes do).
90. # NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.07.11)
You did the usual copy & paste job, leaving out the essential parts, per your usual M.O. Richard Falk, who always acts against Israel, can hardly be called "Independent", he is noted for his bias Why not name who the members of the Panel were:
