1. Good on YNET for saying "lull" and not "ceasefire"
Brian Cohen ,   PeoplesFrontofJudea   (11.05.11)
Finally I see a media outlet using proper semantics for this story. Good work.
2. Egypt dont understand that -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (11.05.11)
- Iran want this War in Gaza, togheter with their underdogs, in order for their Shia-Islamic Al-Mahdi, to rise because of the Comensing War in the Mideas, and He will according to the Word of HASHEM. Arn-Sweden.
3. hey yo our daily schedule contains blood and losing someone
Jalal ,   Gaza   (11.05.11)
well if it's european city then your message will be tough but here in gaza it's just another war so u cannt use this kind of messages .. here's some ideas - u can nuke it up and walla there is no headache anymore called gaza -or simply "give the dog what it want"
4. AZA
Gibor   (11.05.11)
we should have never give it back. It was a huge mistake. Now, lots of poor boys on our side will have to pay the price. Nevertheless its the only way to stop them.
5. hamas
mohson   (11.05.11)
with bibi, hamas and jiahd know for every rocket they fire at israel, they will be hit each and every time, not enough, but each time. Under peres, barak, and olmert livni, they were only infrequently targetted. Why its quieter in the south is that hamas knows it will gets its face smashed. When livni and olmert were in power, it thought it could get away with almost anything because the weaklings didn't reply. so you want to vote for livni or lapid's father's buddy>>!!
6. Those elements pressing for an offensive...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (11.05.11)
Not sound like some sort of hippie, but I'm more than willing to guess that those folks pressing for an attack do not have loved ones that would be participating in that attack. Very easy to send someone into danger when you don't know them.
7. Israel, Iran,and Intelligence.
John Robey ,   Austin, Texas   (11.05.11)
You write" The global intelligence community is in agreement that Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons." Wasn't the global intelligence community also in agreement that Sadam was in posession of some bad ass yellow cake?
8. They Know Better!
Taz Man ,   USA   (11.05.11)
With Israel's military right across the way, biting at the bit, the Gaza terrorists' know the ante has been upped, and they don't want to tempt fate and come to the forgone conclusion that they are in real danger of getting wiped-out! This realization should keep the cowards/pigs in-line. However, they may gain false courage, by their cousins' up-north: Hezbollah when the final UN vote comes in next week. A multi-front war may be in the cards. Israel, soon, will be greatly enlarged: land & wealth. Just a prediction, mind you...but, I like the odds. With the true God on your side, you can't lose! God bless Israel and His Jerusalem (Muslim free)! A Christian Zionist
9. Reconquer Gaza and all of Judea/Samaria..
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.05.11)
..., deport the "Palestinians" to their homelands such as Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Central Asia and southern Russia, Iran, Kurdistan, Turkey, Greece, the Balkans, Italy and Germany - that's precisely where the "Palestinians" come from. When that is done, Israel should annex Gaza, Judea and Samaria. There is no reason why we Jews - the historical, ancient and original population and owners of the land of Israel, should even give away a half grain of sand to foreigners and hostile nations hellbent on our destruction. There is no law of nature that says that Jews and Arabs need to love each other, no law of nature says we need peace, no law of nature says that the nature of peace agreement is always Israeli concessions and that those concessions must always be Israeli land/territory. Just take a look at the world map: Israel is one of the smallest nations on earth. Instead of giving land, we should take massive territories and add them politically and legally to our territory. Enough is enough. Finish off the enemy - it needs to end.
10. PLEASE MAKE PEACE IDF!!!!
YOAV ,   TEL AVIV   (11.05.11)
STOP TAKING OUR CHILDREN TO WAR. PLEASE MAKE PEACE...
11. Poor Jalal in Gaza
John ,   Alaska   (11.05.11)
Here is a small, but I hope helpful bit of advice: Israel has not attacked Gaza except in response to Gaza attacking Israel. Don't fire rockets at Israel and Israel will not kill the people firing rockets at them. Don't worry about nukes. There are multiple prophecies in Scripture about countries being nuked, and none about Gaza. Scripture _does_ say your land will be made desolate and become pastureland for the Jews, but this latter implies that the land that used to be Gaza will not be irradiated and unusable. Finally, and just as an aside, if it was an European city at which you fired rockets, the response would indeed be tough; Gaza would be destroyed by the country to whom that city belongs. Israel has been showing admirable restraint by not doing so in response to your terrorism.
12. Re Egypt, and also re #2 Arn in Sweden
John ,   Alaska   (11.05.11)
I wish I had been born even a decade earlier; I would have been old enough to see Israel fulfilling prophecies of both Jewish and Christian Scriptures by regaining Jerusalem. Except for Moshiach's appearing (which, yes will be as wonderful as it will be terrifying), the only prophecies I know of are unpleasant ones. Like Egypt's destruction, which because they live in the shadow of their own huge dam, the Egyptians probably know better than to irritate Israel too much. Which is why they are looking to diplomacy rather than force for helping their terrorist friends in Gaza. And as Arn said, like the rise of the Islamic Mahdi, with all the rainbows and puppies that little gem will bring. Does anybody know of any _pleasant_ prophecies still waiting between now and Moshiach?

THE ''ISRAELI'' BLOCKADE ALSO HAS TO END GRADUALLY IMMEDIATELY.
14. To # 9
Armand ,   Los Angeles, USA   (11.05.11)
Alexander,....''YOU NAILED IT''. THERE WILL NEVER PEACE (de facto or peace treaties) that any one can trust with Muslims,......as long as ISLAM preaches violence against the INFIDELS and preaches ''TAKKIYAH'' (lying to the infidels)..... Either Islam/Koran/Muslims REFORM or convert to Christianity or ''REFORM its hateful Teachings'' or face the world SILENT MAJORITIES BACKLASH'' And you better believe IT IS COMING! Enough already with the ISLAM'S infiltration(s)!
15. feasibility study
observer ,   Egypt   (11.05.11)
Let's see if Israel would risk bombing the High Dam with nukes, if Egypt opted to strike Dimona which is already on the list of targets by medium- and long-rang rockets. A hydrogen bomb might cause a crater of max. 2km in the 4km Dam, but no significant depth with regard to the level of water in Nasser Lake. What would Israel's untested nuclear bomb do if it were really nuke?
16. #9 you omitted Poland and Khazaria

Tough shit to you Jalal in Gaza..... wherever the hell Gaza is supposed to be.
19. observer #15 needs a seeing eye dog
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.06.11)
We took Aswan back in '69 and gave it back minus some parts. We can take out a damn without nucs. It has been done, just ask the Germany about the Ruhr Valley damns. We left it intact because it has caused Egypt far more harm by it's existence than by it's destruction.
20. To #6 Henry in NY
John ,   Alaska   (11.06.11)
You are correct; there is a saying that goes something like "war is when old men send young men to kill each other." The other part to that story is that people sleep easy at night because rough men are willing to endure violence so that they can do so. I pray protection over the noble IDF as they go to rescue the innocent civilians in Israel who are under daily threat of attack from these Islamic terrorists. I pray with thanksgiving that, because of the IDF, the children in Sderot and Beer-Sheva and Ashkelon can in fact sleep at night.
21. To #7 John in Austin - not really
John ,   Alaska   (11.06.11)
In fact, people in the intelligence community have been complaining that prior to the invasion, he goal imposed upon them was not to discover what was really going on in Iraq but to provide a reason to invade it. The intelligence community is confident enough of Iran's intentions that such disparate countries as the US and France both are siding with Israel and against Iran. France is not known lately for making aggressive noise; that they did so against Iran and on behalf of Israel says a lot about how much of a threat France sees in Iran.
22. To #15 Observer. Your feasibility study was done
John ,   Alaska   (11.06.11)
by Ha'Shem. Read Ezekiel 29. After Aswan Dam is destroyed by G-d Himself, Egypt will be awash from one end to the other with irradiated water. It will take 40 years before Egypt is restored to habitability and in the meantime the people who survive among you and your countrymen will be refugees. This is not arrogance nor wishful thinking; it is simply the truth. Don't keep hardening your heart to it or Ha'Shem will start doing that for you. And then it really will be too late for you, and that will be sad.

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.06.11)
Gradually can't be immediately, look it up in the dictionary Blockade won't stop until Gaza has proven that it wants to be a peacful neighbor, as of now, it has proved itself to be quite othewise You remind me of the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, making noise, seeking attention You may now return to your game of pocket pool
24. #15 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.06.11)
What are you smoking today, I don't believe it is tobacco? We value your feasability study as we do the rest of your output, utter nonsense, you're nuts!!

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.06.11)
What I like most about your posts is that you have some that are one-liners, with the word "END" at the end How about starting your posts with "END" at the start, so we can just ingore you from the start
26. Re #8 Taz
John ,   Alaska   (11.06.11)
It's an axiom of history that you cannot win a multiple-front war against a numerically superior enemy unless you are Israel. :) Blessings from a fellow lover of Israel and her G-d!
27. @#20
Henry from New York ,   USA   (11.06.11)
I was thinking more of my girlfriend who currently serves in the IAF and would prefer that she not get involved in any conflict, and I'm sure her family and friends feel the same way. It would be nice if there was some way to deal with the terrorist swine without putting the lives of Israelis at risk. Not that I don't feel incredible pride in the fact that she serves with such distinction. I think that some of those more hawkish fellows should be strongly encouraged to contribute something to the war effort; just to make things fair.
28. To: #26
Taz Man ,   USA   (11.06.11)
Ditto, on that, Brother! We serve a great God who will not forsake His own. A lot of people worry about Israel's safety...I don't, because I read and believe in His holy Scriptures (no truer words have ever been written by man's hand, because they were divinely inspired by God's Holy Spirit. As it is said: (not by might, but by His Spirit) is all truth given. God is so cool; and Israel is so safe'. Through Abraham's faith all nations are truly blessed. You take care and keep warm. God bless Israel! A Christian Zionist
29. To #27 Henry - May G-d keep your girlfriend safe
John ,   Alaska   (11.07.11)
I agree in all three points. I regret that all I can provide are prayers as I am old and fat and not useful for much else, but I would not be surprised if people just started showing up to fight on behalf of Israel. That sounds just like something G-d would do.
