If countries are going to continue giving the palestinians money it should not be in the form of a blank check but it should specify what it must be spent on. Whenever he wants more money Abbas favorite excuse is without this money we can't afford to pay the security and so we can't stop the terror. If aid was conditional on it being allocated for certain sectors or projects that excuse wouldn't hold water anymore because as long as the security sector was still being funded. Right now the palestinians are like a bottomless pit of money, billions are donated to them every year but nobody is sure exactly where its all going. Aid should be given to certain sectors and it can be taken from certain sectors. The Europeans will always love cash handouts but the US should limit its donations to the security forces specifically and USAID which is food & humanitarian aid but comes from the US direct rather than the money goes UNRWA who take responsibility for it. Statehood itself should also be conditional on the palestinians presenting a viable economic plan, prove they are capable of running a country and won't be run on handouts for everything. If they don't have a viable economic plan then they should start looking at other options like Jordan.

There's no reason the US should be bankrolling the PA, who seem to deem the funding an entitlement. They regularly insult the US, refuse to cooperate with the US, financially support Hamas and terrorists, and make common cause with our enemies. Yet the money keeps flowing. Why don't the Palestinians rely on their rich Arab "brothers"?
