It's about time the govt stop enabling the most deleterious organizations in the propaganda war against Jews: the Israeli leftist NGOs!!!!! Just made my day.

There is no reason to forbid foreign funding. What should be mandatory is publication of the sources of funding so we will know if some organization is working for a foreign country. Even more importantly, any civil servant, especially in the justice ministry, who receives so much as a free lunch, a scholarship or hotel room from a foreign source should be immediately fired with no pension and no benefits.

Foreign governments will continue to interfere in internal Israeli politics but instead of donating to the leftist organisations directly will do so via foreign NGOs who share their political aim. This law is therefore 100% pointless

Who decides which organisation in Israel is worthy of funding. Will Tel Aviv or Beer Sheva universities be barred or restricted in enlisiting foreign funding if the government deems them or some of their employees too leftist? This proposed legislation is ridiculously discriminatory and is aimed at distorting the system to favour the views of the government. As Mart points out, it seems that extreme right wing organisations have no restrictions placed on obtaining foreign donations. Does Netanyahu place no value on free speech? It seems that the only correct view is Netanyahu's and Lieberman's. Shame!

There is no foreign funding by any government of non-leftist NGOs to block. It has never happened.

Israel urgently requires a ban on foreign funding of subversive organizations. However, in many ways, a toothless law is worse than no law at all. The law requires plenty of sharp teeth. Israel is greatly harmed by treacherous far left organizations.

Israel should gather legal experts and ask them what International Law says about foreign states/governments/NGO:s and international organizations (UN, EU etc) interfering with a sovereign/independent state's domestic affairs through channeling money to traitors trying to manipulate the host nation's politics from within. Anyone involved in receiving foreign funds for political purposes in order to work against the State of Israel, MUST lose his/her Israeli citizenship and be forced to leave Israel. Attempting to return should be punishable by either imprisonment or forced deportation.

It's an outrage that these supposed Human Rights organizations receive funding from Foreign governments and refuse to even divulge from which governments and how much they receive! Nor do the governments disclose this info. doing?! Individual private donations to these NGOs from NON-enemy states is fine, byut government funding to ANY israeli NGO should be halted asap!

NIF collects a lot of funds under a humanistic aspect. But in fact the NIF is basically left and pro-palestinian. They are closely co-operating with the infamous BDS-movement. Two other orgs in Europe claim to fight for human rights in Israel (?) and disregard the non-humanistic nature of the islam.
