1. What really Pushes Them
Ken ,   Australia   (11.09.11)
Is the fact that they are all 12ers, and you can put what ever label on it you like, but the bottom line is, they are motivated by religeous fanatisicsm greater than anyone cares to think about. But what it is really all about is a smoke and mirrors show, time to put the islamic republic on its knees for this, this is 20 years of covert BS-ing the west and secrtetly nuclearising themselves whilst supplying the whole middle east with weapons to use for killing jews and americans, as a huge smoke screen for there advancements, talk about playing the fiddle. In the west we stand up for our beleifs and they have been defying us for 20 years, the time has now come for payback. When we do get revenge we need to teach them a lesson of un-told magnitude, this is the only way the iranians will be pursuaded into takeing a new leaf. As it stands they are full steam ahead with some crazy 12er's sheme of messianic disaster - It must be stopped.
2. Iran will have Nukes now and 100 years from now
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.09.11)
3. Further sanctions will accomplish
Stephen in New York   (11.09.11)
nothing.
4. The international community will do
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (11.09.11)
NOTHING...against Iran...so WHAT ???
5. Let the Sunnis and the Shais sort themselves out...
Israela ,   Israel   (11.09.11)
as for the rest of the world? Oh we'll just apply sanctions, send little angry notes to El Baradei, put on our sunglasses and take a giant step back to avoid the nuclear blast fallout -- there you go that's a reasonable nuclear deterant policy -- isn't it? May G-d bless us with the flexibility to know when to bend over and kiss our tuchasses good-bye -- we are almost done for! (Clear comment: for those who don't have a cynical bone in their bodies this TB is dripping in cynicism)
6. International comunity will do nothing !
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (11.09.11)
What could the International community do - Russia and China will not participate - it is stale mate. Prof. Zisser noted that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have not been overlooked by the Iranian leaders, and might convince them that Washington "is willing to go all the way. "At the end of the day, these are rational leaders, but their rationality and desire for security independence is what pushes them to develop nuclear weapons in the first place," Comment - Oh no - it is their Hostility towards Israel which pushes them to develope nuclear wepons. Israel can forget the International Community and even the US, they are tied up in their Economical interessts that they will not sacrifice on the behalf of Israel. I think the Saudis is the only ones with the similar Intessts as Israel. Arn.Sweden. Arn.Sweden.
7. #2 Don't be so sure
Cynthia ,   USA   (11.09.11)
Iran has been working on this doomed nuclear program for 38 years claiming the project is near completion. Now we find the nuclear program is even more of a patch job than expected. Russian, German, Iranian, Pakistani and No. Korean technology. Can see why the Russians advise against starting it up. Chernoblstan revisited.
8. The importance of the report ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.09.11)
... is that it proves the Iranian lies and dissembling, and meaningless protestations of "peaceful use" of nuclear power. As if Iran ever cared about beamlines and medical isotopes. Or, for that matter, electricity. Most of Iran sits in the dark for major periods each day. Nice to have a serious IAEA, though, after years of El Baradei's protection of Iranian activities. The key player here, actually, though, is Saudi Arabia. Make no mistake -- they do not like Iran. (Well, who does?) They can easily cut production, raise prices, and force the United States to bend to their will. Kuwait will follow in lockstep. And if Israel needs an air corridor (although any attack will likely initially come from the sea), both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will cheerfully provide Israel with that corridor, and will give them landing and refueling rights as well. I think Iran has overplayed its hand. If the West calls its bluff, Iran is finished.
9. Well then #8
Robert ,   NY USA   (11.09.11)
Let Saudi Arabia attack Iran. It's their oil and Shiite vs. Sunni competition. They have the biggest airforce and the US is committed to defend the kingdom with it's own military. And Obama needs more fuel for his million dollar tour bus.
