feldman is reaaly incredible. he knew the panel was hard on sex offenders and he could have moved for a different panel. But then the defense had to admit that Katsav is a sex offender. If a different panel would also come to the same conclusions what would Feldman and his team do then? Appeal to the UN and the pope? And why does Katsav gets a month to put his affairs into order? He had all the last months since the original conviction. Get the guy to jail and let him face the music for the crimes he commited..

Because the Israeli judicial system doesn't like to push it's luck. It has found him guilty of rape - I guess that's good enough for them. Besides, it'll take another 70 years until he is in the dock for witness tampering - better stick him behind bars with what they have.
