It was very instructive to me to learn of this because by far, most of the media coverage that I have come across shows strong support from Christians. Among the wide assortment of Christian groups, one can expect a variety of views. Even among a people, the same applies. I have come across many anti-Israeli views from Jews themselves. Indeed, I learnt the term "fifth column" from Israeli online newspapers. I think it is erroneous to brand all Christians because 2, 3 or 4 groups show anti-semitism. I also feel it is a "first past the post" situation as well. If the Arab message gets to them first with no counter-balancing Jewish/Israeli message, then there can be only one expectation. If there is no reaching out or even total rejection, there can be only one expectation as well. Some Christian pastors operate within narrow confines and shape their opinion from the news on TV, like most people. If the news is biased...well. They won't expend energy going any further because it is neither important to their world view nor their profession. Others have made it their business to follow what is going on. The Arabs certainly know how to "position" themselves favourably and spewing hatred against Christians will work more against, than for Israel. I don't think that this is the era for maintaining or widening fractures between Jews and Christians. There is a far bigger enemy out there, that is present and immediate - one which is committed to slaughtering Jews and Christians alike, plus others. This is my view on this controversial matter and I do hope that balance and good sense will prevail.

The best understanding of the Bible is to be found only in Pentecostal Churches - ex. Assemblies of God. Only the pentecostal church understands that what God says He means exactly that. Pentecostal believers love Israel and here in Africa they are more than 20 million and the whole world up to 500 millions. So most Bible loving Christians love Israel.

The PCUSA is a very liberal church and not to be confused with several other conservative Israel supporting Presbyterian churches. Any church that opposes Israel is not part of the true Christian church. True believers in Yeshua are to pray and support Israel wholeheartedly.

Not all Presbyterian denominations in the US are the same. The Pres. Church USA is the left leaning, anti-Israel culprit. The article misrepresents the others.

The article states that Presbyterians provided several US presidents throughout history, is very wealthy, and have much influence/control. No one blinks an eye. Yet, when the same is attributed to Jews, they are vilified as greedy, controllers of US finances, wars, and govt. Yet, not one Jewish president ever presided and the US has largely ignored Israeli advice on problems in the Middle East when Bush decided to go into Iraq himself. Claiming this action by the Presbyterian Church as "theologically correct" is like claiming the Nazis were justified because Mein Kempf was "ideologically correct". Jesus was not killed by Jews but rather by the Roman overlords which the Vatican admitted to, and absolved the Jews of any wrong-doing. The same Bible which claims Jews killed Jesus were created by the Romans and by early Christians who were rejected by Jews as a way to demonize Jews and take away their infinite rights from their early relationship with G-d. Many religions try to depict the Jews as "demons, violent, not deserving of G-d's graces, lost G-d's favor" as a way to displace them as "G-d's chosen". Muslims do this all the time. Two examples: Billy Graham is not a Presbyterian, but a Baptist. Presbyterian ministers NEVER refer to themselves as "priests." They use the term minister or pastor.
