Given the amount of damage we have inflicted on the Dead Sea, it has no longer any justification for being a "natural" Wonder of the World.

No question who I voted for. The Dead Sea is by no means dead instead, very much ALIVE when it comes to health. I know, I've been there and I will go back again. Who? can go into the waters of the Amazon.? Between deadly poisonous snakes and millions of swarms of Pirhanas that can strip the flesh of a horse clean in 3 minutes. Table Mountain is certainly very beautiful. I have been up there scores of times ... it is certainly a perfect dream and beautiful to look at. I voted for the Dead Sea for health reasons. Israel has so much to offer. People are friendly and helpful and doing wonders in their own country.

Too bad.

We could do better by entering a contest for most abused natural wonders. The Dead Sea is a perfect example of man's greed and 'privatization'. I have been to Halong Bay and the Underground River. Both are extremely beautiful and cared for and protected. They rightly deserve to have won and we rightly deserve to have lost. Perhaps we can change our priorities.
6. I don't care, it's still my favourite place in the world.

We might loose some potential tourists but at least we won't have to deal with crowds.
7. Dead Sea is Sodom and Ammora
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (11.13.11)
A reminder to tthe world not to let itself degrade to the level of Sodom and Ammorra. Extreme wickedness. As such it is one of the wonders of the world. What a wonder that man can sink so low.
8. what honor - seems this was cooked up by Seychelles Tourism

dig a little deeper, if we want to drum up tourism for the Dead Sea it would be wise to clean up the mess made by 20+ years of exploitation and develop the world class tourism infrastructure the Dead Sea deserves.
