1. Wake up call
DavidM ,   USA   (11.12.11)
The comparison of Israel to nazism is odious and absurd but is an increasingly effective propaganda tool. The Russell tribunal used it extensively and newspaper columnists at major papers do so without objections from editors. Faculty members at universities indoctrinate their young students with this poison. It must be challenged every time it is used before it becomes accepted. We can not assume that uninformed audiences will know that it is all a big lie.
2. Hannah Arendt correctly portrayed Israel the same way

4. you are wasting your time
mohson   (11.12.11)
Arab culture is replete with lies interchanging wiht truth, conspiracies, and duplicity. You are wasting your time. As Japotinsky wrote, jews have to stand up and back up their words with actions, not the beilinist, ben ami, ramon and olmert school of gutlessness that make the skin crawl of all jews. All the haredi have to take martial arts and enter the idf, no bloody excuses including torah. Diplomacy, yes but eyes open, no step back and a good firm handshake, not the limp hand of livni who runs around pleasing obama and the rotten cowards of europe, screeching of painful concessions. Israel has made enough of painful concessions- its the arabs who have to make concessions and on land like part of jordan. Its time for feiglin to become PM with yaalon at defense, eitam and galant in back of him, gillerman at foreign affairs, ben ari at police, landau as deputy PM and lieberman in waiting. I've had it with the weak leadership that has plagued israel since begin's departure.
5. Nazism / Zionism / Fascism / Islamism
Dunkin Donuts ,   USA   (11.12.11)
They are all isms and they are all the same. How can you say a Palestinian is Anti semitic when they are Semites too, Its just one big family row... However most of the family are Khazars from Russia who claim to have more of claim on land in a middle eastern section of land than a Palestinian who can trace his roots for thousands of years.... and then builds a monument to racism which cuts through the Palestinaians heart and then allows settlers to destroy everything they have.... Its really like an episode of Star trek...
6. It was the Haj, Amin al-Husseini, the Muslim mufti of
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.12.11)
Jerusalem, who collaborated with Nazi German and helped it make the preparations to build an extermination camp in the Latrun part of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel), half way between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem. Sadly, this leader of the Muslim-Arabs of the Land has indeed left his mark on society here, including the way the Muslim-Arab leaders salute the public... But, some at the UN, against all norms and international law, want to hand over these people a "state"...
7. If the author is so concerned about bigotry....
esnuffnstl ,   USA   (11.12.11)
...perhaps it's best not to label this hate as coming from "Arabs" or the "Muslim world." By all means condemn any individual that compares Israel with Nazi Germany. But labeling this as coming from "Arabs" is no different than those who label the worse actions of individual Jewish folk as actions coming from "the Jewish world."
8. #2:Altough Arendt's portrait was proudly featured on German
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.12.11)
postage-stamps she is a prime example of highly educated autist. Just like the many forms of idiot-savants her "speciality" was a philosophy and we know that it's a tricky field even for level-headed people. Please leave her & her ilk out of this otherwise boring subject. We know the Arabs inside-out (fortunately)
9. Nazi-like
Sam M ,   UK   (11.12.11)
This is exactly why the palestinians cannot be peace partners and further confirmation that a palestinian state in Judea and Samaria would be a disaster for Israel.
10. A State occupying territories and holding population captive
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.12.11)
It begs a comparison, unfortunately. It has been compared to South Africa often. It's an anomaly in the world, a weird state of existence. It cannot continue forever, let's face it.
11. Response to Post #10
Eric Rosenthal   (11.12.11)
Peace is impossible because Palestinian leaders reject any solution that implies acceptance of a Jewish State alongside an Arab one. They are willing to wait decades for total victory. No amount of unilateral Israeli concessions or goodwill gestures will bring about peace. Israel’s position has mellowed over the decades while the other side remains unswervingly committed to the goal of seeking Israel’s destruction. Asaf brilliantly mentions how Abbas does this. 2nd, we found out 2 week ago Saeb Erekat confirmed Olmert had offered a final peace settlement that would include territorial concession equivalent to the entire West Bank and the division of Jerusalem. The Palestinians also control 100% of Gaza. The problem is 2 words. Palestinian Rejectionism.
12. Great article by Asaf
Steve Meyers   (11.12.11)
This man Abbas has only demands... He doesn't want to negotiate on anything, only to get more and more and more.
13. .Think deeply about it.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (11.12.11)
Israelian citizens. Think deeply about this good article. We, your true friends, deplore and hate Anti Semitism. We do endorse your State and her struggle to live in peace and security. We favor a Palestinian State, but if She recognizes and respects, in fact, her neighbor. We know it has been very difficult because of stupid radicalism and fundamentalism from Hamas, Hezbollah and other similar entities. We are not naive. We know you must defend Israel through all necessary forces. But never ignoring international opinion and humanistic principles. On the contrary, your (and our) enemies will increase their poison everywhere. Salutes.
14. Remember when Israel decided to build a museum of tolerance
BR ,   Texas   (11.12.11)
...on top of a Palestinian graveyard?
15. Ignorant # 5
Stephen in New York   (11.12.11)
Recent testing of the Y Chromosomes carried by widely separated groups of Jews definitively disproves the Khazar theory. I’d go into detail, but you’re simply a run-of-the-mill anti-Semite and worth nobody’s time.
16. IF THE CAP FITS ,AND THE CAP FITS
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (11.12.11)
The arabs .Arabs are nazi like .END OF.
17. #11 Eric, You are correct. Therefore,
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.12.11)
peace in the M.E. needs to be imposed, enforced and guaranteed by the Great Powers for many years, at the expense of Palestinians and Israelis. I have written about this here several times, talking about peace with security. It will be imposed until new generations of citizens will grow up on both sides, which will be able to recognize each other's right to exist, able to co-exist in peace, and stop the endless fussing that has been going on. Olmert, as far as I know, relied on a referendum in Israel in his proposals, for which a new generation of Israelis will be needed. The same on the Pali side.
18. Indeed, yes a Wake Up Call!!!!!!!!!!
Ayeush ,   Gibraltar   (11.12.11)
Maybe not the kind you might expect, but it is of the greatest importance to counter act those heinous slurs. There is a surrender by the Israeli Ethos when it comes to the actual residents of the State. Over half of the Jewish Israeli citizens are of former inhabitants for thousands of years in the Arab-Muslim countries, and they were there way before Islam has been born. They left behind in for of real estate and wealth something the equivalent of the superficy of Tunisia. And that, my friends, is not boobcus, however Israeli GREAT LEADERS preffere to ignore such a reality, and please tell me why? Yes, WHY?! What a missmanagement of the Jewish Sephardic Resources, tell the Narrative....
19. #3 What happened? Did you give up on One State? hehehe.
(11.12.11)
20. #2 - Hannah Arendt proud of Israel for the 6 day war
Isaac Storm   (11.12.11)
She was very proud of Israel for fighting and winning the 6 day War. Considering that, I do not think that your statement is accurate.
21. #5 - They are from Ham
Isaac Storm   (11.12.11)
The Arabs are from Ham.
22. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.11)
You need to read Mark Twain's "Innocents Abroad," especially the chapter on Palestine -- "Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes ...." Twain goes on to describe a barren and abandoned land, full of malarial swamps to the north, and empty desert to the south. He speaks of the Jewish communities in Safed and Jerusalem, in Hebron and Schehem. Doesn't say much about the Arabs, because there weren't very many there. It was not until the Jews of the First and Second Aliyot came, cleared the swamps, pushed back the desert, built cities, thriving communities, kibbutzim, museums, schools, orchestras and the like that the Arabs flocked there. Palestine was a dismal place until the Jews returned. Nomadic Arabs (most ersatz "Palestinians" come from the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert) came to Israel by the score, seeking a place to rob kibbutzim, steal kibbutz fruit and animals and ambush innocent Jewish civilians. So let's have no more ridiculous pronouncements about "thousands of years" with respect to the ersatz "Palestinians." Only the Jews and some -- a very few -- Christians can claim thousands of years of presence in the Holy Land. Get an education. Zionism is nothing more than the nationalist movement of the Jewish people to recover their ancient homeland. The Zionists who first arrived discovered a barren, virtually uninhabited land; most of the inhabitants were Jews. Some Christians. A handful of Arabs. Go dunk some doughnuts (note the proper spelling).
23. irony of ironies
bob ,   potomac md usa   (11.13.11)
The ture "Nakba" for the Paelstinian Arabs occurred in Nov. of 1942, when the Nazi forces were defeated at the 2nd Battle of Alalamein. the Nazis and their ally, the Grand Mufti and his followers were intent on the imposition of "The Final Solution" on the Jews of North Afria and the MIddle East, including the Yishuv in Palestine. Now, years later they call the Yishuv "Nazis." Irony of ironies.
24. The present "moderate" head of the Palestine Liberation ...
JBI   (11.13.11)
... Organization (PLO), Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, produced a PhD written work, one that questioned the Jewish Holocaust! And some at the UN want to hand over this man a "state".....
25. BR #14 how about the rest of the story
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.13.11)
It was the parking lot of the 'graveyard' which the Arabs had closed and removed the bodies over 100 before. And then attempted to build on, but we liberated the territory from the Jordanian occupation force. Sorry but giving 1/4 of a story is not the truth.
26. who taught them?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.13.11)
Who is to blame? The Arab propagandists? Or the Jews who taught them? Remember that it was Professors like Leibowitz and Zimmerman who started with the slur.
27. #10: Not so anomalous
Yitzhak ,   Israel   (11.13.11)
Not if you look at Turkey's occupation of northern Cyprus; China's occupation of Tibet; Morocco's occupation of the Western Sahara; the occupation of Kurdistan by Iran, Turkey, Syria and Iraq. Should I go on?
28. #7 Get real -
Eli ,   Efrat, Israel   (11.13.11)
The purveyors of this claptrap are not individuals , but rather Arab governments, the _Arab League_ and state-run media in the Arab countries -
29. weird but arab leadership got ties with nazism
ghostq   (11.13.11)
they divert the guilt, the Mufty of Jerusalem family still own the villa in Germany that hitler built for Haj Amin Alhusseini.
30. #27 Anomalous indeed
berlonski ,   berlin   (11.13.11)
The Kurds in Turkey are citizens of Turkey with the right to vote like all Turkish citizens. So do the Kurds in Iraq. The Tibetians have a Chinese passport. So do the Kurds in Iran or Syria. Give Israeli passports to the Palestinians in the West Bank and let them vote for the Knesset. Then your comparison makes sense.
