Casualties to civilians is unfortunate, but it is incorrect for anyone to say that Israeli soldiers intentionally inflict harm and death to Palestinians. In fact, Israeli soldiers go out of their way to avoid civilian casualties - a task made extremely difficult by firing and attacking FROM THE MIDST of residential and heavily populated areas. Such practice by Arabs and Palestinians to deliberately place their their fellow civilians between their firing positions and Israeli soldiers, is done to win fraudulent sympathy for self-inflicted casualties!

Nevertheless, one poll means nothing, especially when it's the President who will ultimately decide if the US helps Israel attack Iran (or even supports Israel doing so.) If there were an honest poll, with questions that outlined possible consequences of what an attack on Iran might entail, I'd say support for such an attack would be at about 20% (approximately equal to the number of fundie Christians in the US + the number of people with IQs in the 80-85 range--obviously there's some overlap amongst these two groups.)

Next time survey 1,754 Americans who have a brain, oh, and don't refer to them as all Americans... As a Canadian I suffer a mentally ill Prime Minister (Stephen Harper) who blindly supports the illegitimate state of Israel. The only way for peace is defence, not attacking on "what if" scenario's.

It is critical that there be regime change in Iran. The problem there goes well beyond nuclear capability. The regime is a cancer that has to be exised from the Greater Middle East. The views of the ruling theocratic regime have metastasized into the region.
