How come Associate Press reports on Avigdor Lieberman's political status and Ynet reprints? Doesn't it have to be vice versa? It smells the same like report from the top official from UK that Israel is ready to attack Iran.

It seems absurd that a minister with that portfolio would be denied access by those below him. the PM would have had to be in the picture. That PM is knee high in scandal and was probably an extortion candidate for the CIA to manipulate. It is incredible how many Israeli leaders face corruption charges regularly.

Moreover, he may find himself the next prime minister, but luckily you live in NY and clearly have no idea of what is happening in Israel, like most Americans. If Lieberman is a Russian agent, what is his aim? To rid the world of Muslim/Arab terrorists doesn't seem to be high priority to Russians, while Lieberman is one of Israel's strongest leaders with the goal of ridding Arab terrorism from Israel and the world. Lieberman is what Israel needs today, someone who will not bend to outside influence and sell out Israel to the Muslims who pride those who murder others, and call for killing their kids for propaganda purposes.

Lieberman may be a lot of things, but a Russian agent he is not. Just because the man has testicles and is not afraid to speak his mind does not make him an operative. You may not agree with what he has to say, or more importantly, how he says it, but he clearly has Israel's interest in his mind. If he worked for the Russians, he would be urging a much more Olmert/Shamir/Barak approach to foreign policy rather than the strong cactus like method he uses. Lieberman is more Sabres than many Sabras.

a great statesman? You've got to be kidding- if this is a statesman then G-d help us- we need all the help we can get. L. is crude, undiplomatic, opinionated- he offends just about everyone . He talks, boy does he talk- faster than his brain works- every time he opens his mouth they have to mend fences in the government because he has insulted yet another country, or diplomat. As for L. ridding Arab terrorism from Israel- not in his lifetime.

The goal of Russia is to keep things stirred up and to prevent peace and security that they believe would strengthen US dominance and make the West less concerned about oil (remember the Russians have their own oil). Lieberman is right there, making sure there's no chance of any peace treaty. Stirring things up with Turkey and Egypt, telling the UN there's no chance of peace (even publicly contradicting Bibi), attacking Israeli Arabs as subversives, trying to muzzle free speech. And all those trips to visit his buddies in Eastern Europe? He certainly hasn't gained any of the diplomatic support he boasted he would bring. In fact the Russians are helping Iran to build its nukes. When he closes that door for high-level "private" meetings without his aides, who do you think he is meeting?
