National socialists are incredibly hard to classify, politically. Most historians regard them as extreme right wing, the name nonwithstanding. Saying that you're a socialist, doesn't make you one. Neo-nazi's however, are, without any trace of any doubt, extreme right wing.

You are basing your conclusions solely on the fact that the name of the ideology has the word socialism in it rather than practice, associated rhetoric, policies, history, etc. As well, socialism itself generally discourages nationalism.
