1. The Lifeguard has tooted his whistle
GideonReader   (11.15.11)
and so it is time for the "author" of this bit of Leftoid excrement to get out of the gene pool.
2. Wow...
Joe ,   Israel   (11.15.11)
Looks like all the desperate loonies came out of the woodworks and started writing articles for Ynet. What part don't you understand about the difference between two states making deals and a political organization in one country getting money to influence the local population through false propaganda from another hostile country?
3. I can't believe
Dana Rothschild ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.15.11)
that ynet is ready to publish this kind of article.... Is it a provocation????? you Mr. Okon, should be ashamed!!!!! not the government is sacred of the truth, you are... this is why you wrote this article.... it was long due... and now I am waiting, when the government and the Knesset will show Zoabi, Tibi, Zahalka & co the door.... and of course.... you only write about this government... because of course, labor governments never did this, right? this is what you want with your demonstration for equality, with this kind of articles... you want this right wing government to fall.... wishful thinking...
4. Just like the monkey-tail: Humanity doesn't need Left now.
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.15.11)
5. Foreign governments making Israel bashing an industry
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (11.15.11)
with a life of its own and the truth becomes a casualty in the race for funds. The Gaza war was a prime example. Electronic intifada is a Dutch govt supported enterprise with the funds laundered through a Church. One wonders how much of this funding is public knowledge in the EU etc/
6. Nutcase
joe tango ,   usa   (11.15.11)
I won't even make a comment on this. I just have one question where do you get these writers are you that desperate ynet?
7. eabitbol@rogers.com
Elie Abitbol ,   Canada   (11.15.11)
I do not read truth in what you write, only venom spitting from your mouth ! Only Israel would allow foreign governments to pay lobbies like yours to influence its policies. try that in the USA or Canada or France or the UK and you will see where you land !
8. The lunatics are running the asylum
Haim ,   TA   (11.15.11)
The fascist right wing are trying to silence the voice of democracy. Anyone who dosent play by their rules is automatically branded a traitor. This is a sign of a desperate goverment who has become the puppet of the ultra orthodox. The goverment will soon learn they cannot silence democracy and they will not impy religious coercion on secular people.
9. Democracy shouls appy to enerybody
ranjan ,   la, usa   (11.15.11)
Boaz Okon you say "The best test of truth is the ability of a thought to be endorsed in the free competition of opinions and ideas". Where were you when closed Arutz Sheva Radio station? You liberals cannot have it both ways when it suits your need.
10. Anti-Israel
Naftali   (11.15.11)
The issue is not about allowing anti-government voices. It's about those who openly act against Israel, for example supporting and working towards boycotting Israel. Like those bog dim from +972
11. Israel's enemies fund leftists groups to hurt Israel.
Chaimj ,   Israel   (11.15.11)
This article is pure nonsense. Similar laws exist and are vigorously enforced in the U.S. and many other democratic countries. The bottom line is simple. Israel's enemies fund leftist groups in order to hurt Israel. A large majority of Israelis know that and are fed up with the situation. It is way past time to end this abomination.
12. #3 and #1
mba ,   Israel   (11.15.11)
As you can't seem to contradict the arguments you attack the author. Oldest propoganda/populist trick in the "logic" book. Go back to Logic 101 or Debate 101 and try a refresher course.
13. This is not free competition of ideas, it is corruption
Marco ,   Spain   (11.15.11)
It is a gross distortion of ideas of Israeli public when one one side is following foreign government policies and magnifies them with the aid of foreign money to make it appear to have bigger electoral support than it actually has.
14. In reality Okon is afraid from the truth
Marco ,   Spain   (11.15.11)
Without foreign aid these leftist phonies will disappear trash bin of history because they have no support in Israel. This is the truth that Olon and the like are afraid to be exposed as empty suits.
15. This article
Uncomprehending   (11.15.11)
This scribbling is the most amazing piece of "illogic" ever published on Ynetnews. Making spurious comparisons with false analogies is nothing short of outright stupidity. You ought to be ashamed for having presumed that such a silly diatribe would be well received. This type of diatribe might be acceptable to leftists but doesn't cut muster in rational circles...it is in fact an insult to any reader.
16. whsat foolds you are. well we need not be taken in by your w
ralph   (11.15.11)
weak foolish, arguments. hire people with at least a high school education before they offer opinions.
17. Look what happened to SA! - a very dumb article!
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (11.15.11)
The article was written in near panic and is totally illogical. The writer should feel highly embarassed when he sees it displayed on the web!
18. russinas are comming?
jjj ,   netanya   (11.15.11)
right? right! this is their imprint and bb is only bending the way wind blows.
19. freedom from foriegn intervention
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (11.15.11)
It is no secret that B'telem and Peace Now are really fronts for Pro-Arab activists. Similarly other groups are recieving money from foreign groups that look for Israel's destruction. A democracy must protect itself. Point in case was pre Hitler Germany. Hitler was a Fascist but he was democratically elected. His election or rather appointment heralded the end of freedom of speech. Our country has freedom of speech. We want to preserve it from the influence of Islamic groups and also extreme right wingers. Their mode of influence is through money. They can not compete with open ideas rather through subterfuge funded from overseas. It is time to rid ourselves of the likes of Peace Now, B'telem and other foreign extremists.
20. Left pushing for minority rule?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.15.11)
I thought democracy was majority rule with the protection of minority rights, rather than minority rule with the abrogation of majority rights. The "left" has to wake up and understand that not only did they lose the election, but the Palestinians abandoned the peace process. Get it through your heads, kids: you're too lazy (or shortsighted) to to out and work to win the next elections. Campaigning by whining is not considered (by the Israeli voter, at least) to be a successful election strategy.
21. Boaz is afraid of logic
Ilan   (11.15.11)
Limits on the ability of foreign or corporate finders to buy influence becomes ideological totalitarianism? Try harder Hokum Oukum
22. because right is far more dangerous
Mark ,   Detroit USA   (11.15.11)
It's amazing how justice and common sense go out the window with those who know better than everybody else. The Right Wing thinks it has G-d on it's side. Perhaps they should loose the arrogance and allow free speech to exist since Israel is still a democracy. If Bibi is your best man, you had better pray hard for G-d's mercy. He's a putz.
23. what governement isnt about its own survival???
aric ,   NYC   (11.15.11)
Another idiotic, propaganda editorial. As usual, main facts are left out...like how the leftist groups use "equality" and "human rights" as a weapon against Israel. Nobody really cares about the people, but rather how they can be used to destroy Israel....Just like the PLO and how the muslim world uses them...STOP WITH THE HATE AND HALF-TRUTHS BOAZZZZZZ
24. #22 The pot calling the kettle black...
Anti Mark ,   USA   (11.15.11)
1. At least the right wing thinks...you evidently NEVER DO because you always are in a rush to post retarded pro-left inanities. 2. The left is always willing to be the mouthpiece of antisemites/ Israel-bashers and receive their money to do so. You are a loathsome, toadying self-hating Jew as evidently and repeatedly proved by your imbecilic posts. 3. You need a full-sized mirror and the only thing you'll see is your own reflection of a cretinous p***ck, that is: YOU the eponymous and useless putz.
25. What are you complaining about?
Paul ,   Jerusalem   (11.15.11)
You got off easy, only your funds from enemy sources and pro-Palestinian NGOs are being restricted. Consider your joy, your rejoicing with the government raping of freedom of speech, the slaughter of 'live and let live', when Arutz Sheva Radio was taken away from the Nationalists, all so that this government could be free to hand Gaza over to Hamas, and redefine the term 'rain' for border residents. Leftist wake up to your hypocrisy and dangerous anti-Nationalist goals.
26. For a moment I thought I had opened
Rober Haymondt ,   Israel/Canada   (11.15.11)
to Haaretz by mistake.
27. the truth does not need European money
Golan ,   Modiin   (11.15.11)
and no one is stopping the left from dishonestly portraying Israel... just not doing it tax free.
28. Who is Okon kidding?
citizen   (11.15.11)
These so-called Israeli human rights organizations don't work for Israeli human rights, on the contrary, they work to undermine Israeli human rights. To paraphrase his last sentence, this government is right not to allow Israeli human rights to be trample on or silenced. These devious 'human' rights organizations should put their foreign money where their mouth is and relocate to where the real abuse of human rights is taking place.
29. dire warning
selsanj ,   EU   (11.15.11)
well I for one agree with this article completly, and I am amazed the way commentators blindly defend Israeli goverment, without doubt. Have you guys asked yourself, perhaps limiting NG organisations is a bad thing, becouse of reason in this article and more. My wiew is that people of Israel have been abused and tortured in this planet history and they have been fighting the evil so long and so hard, that now they are becoming the wery evil they fight against. So be cerful people of Israel, do not trust blindly in decision of your goverment. You must question your leaders, that is the point of democracy.
30. Animal farm
Josh Spiegel   (11.15.11)
Just as we said before, Israel has been a quasi-bolshevik dictatorship operated and micro-managed by the so-called "Left". In this nationwide conspiracy there are many figures on all levels of society concerning eevry field. The media, Ynet included is no exception. Israel as now all can see is transparently not a democracy and never has been, but the private fiefdom of radical ultra-leftists pulling the strings behind far away from the gaze of the unfortunate population. And meanwhile the msm provides the "ancien regime" status quo-favoring people with opp to spread their vapid, inane poison. As I said, Israel is ruled hermetically by a rogue Leftist, quasi-Communist small group of elite, whose stranglehold on power must be shattered at all costs. This tabloid website is part of this nefarious, foreign-funded organized conspiracy and we all know that many of the initiators of the treasomeous "social justice" protesters work for this organ as we could learn from alternative Israeli sites. The professional traitors, spies, enemy agents will thanks to these laws be uncovered, revealed and then neutralized and stopped. It will not be a pretty picture, but at least the Israeli electorate will sober up, whom made a virtual marionette out of it. The foreign-funded pro-Israel-destruction traitors bent on a blitzkrieg against their own country/nation on all levels and in every field of Israeli life will be outed and destroyed. amen.
