1. plz take your pills ! "prayer " of a MURDERER
nice ,   tlv   (11.17.11)
is separated fro G-d by a HUGE wall of fire. enjoy your stay in JAIL.
2. treat the Arabs like this!
Golan ,   Modiin   (11.17.11)
instead those butchers go on radio, go pray with other butchers... Rabin is dead. Its not like Amir is going to kill him again. This is abuse! (and I despise Amir, what he did and what he allowed to happen- the continuation of Oslo. But this treatment is abuse. Shame on the courts!)
3. do we really need to hear about this assassin?
(11.17.11)
Can't we just let him rot silently?
4. Ethics
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (11.17.11)
This so called "judge" is letting his political views interfere with justice. If he is so much better than Igal, why does he descend to hate and revenge? If they let arab assasins get visits and pray, why not Jewish killers?
5. Good let him pray forgiveness for the
Eric........ ,   Israel..(isreal)   (11.17.11)
rest of his life.No privileges for this murderer.Rabin was a good human being a good man.
6. What harm can he do to let him pray with others
David ,   On this planet   (11.17.11)
The judge ruling seems more like a revenge than a punishment . That murderer is paying for his act , you can decide to kill him if you want but you cannot torture him. you can treat him like you treat the Palestinian terrorist no better and certainly not worse
7. This is just left-wing revenge
Sidney ,   USA   (11.17.11)
What Amir did was inexcusable, Jews do not kill Jews. However Jews do not torture Jews either. There is no excuse for solitary confinement except to protect him from left-wing avengers. If that is really a problem, it cannot be an excuse to deny him safe mingling with other prisoners.
8. Disgusting decision
zionist forever   (11.17.11)
Not letting Yigal Amir pray in a minyan is nothing short of spite. Letting him pray with nine other prisoners is hardly a threat to national security or watering down of his sentence its just human kindness. If the courts let terrorists pray together even though they killed alot more people than Amir did. The prison service even tries to make it easier for them to celebrate things like Ramadam then why is it so terrible for Yigal Amir to pray with a minyan?
9. @2 I AGREE
gal1 ,   israel not palestine   (11.17.11)
10. coverup or just hate campaign of left
hippocrates ,   earth   (11.17.11)
if the latter their liberal left revenge has no boundaries. such moral hypocrisy. so yigal can't pray in minyan, thats bad shin bet , but allowing 1027 rabid jewish murderers to wander freely near jewish people...thats ok. you can't make this bs up
11. #5 Rabin was a good man
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.17.11)
Rabin was a good man and even if he wasn't, his murderer should be punished. But what about Walid Anajas? Were none of the 11 people he murdered in Cafe Moment good enough so he should be punished? And Nasir Yataima? Were none of the 30 Jews murdered in Park Hotel good people? And Abd Amar, were none of the 4 he murdered (3 Jews and 1 Arab), good enough, not even Dr. David Appelbaum who saved thousands of lives before Amar murdered him? There is no justice: Jews are punished, Arabs go free.
12. # 8 killers celebrate ramadan
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (11.17.11)
I have no problem letting the shaven Binladen celebrate ramadan.
13. Agree if terrorists receive the same treatment
Isaac ,   Texas   (11.17.11)
If all terrorist with blood on their hands are bounded with the same rules, I agree, but we already know that terrorist receive free University education, religious rights, entertainment and lots of more benefits at the taxpayer expense. So stop being hypocrites and give this prisoner the same rights as other prisoners, it's the law.
14. i don't pray with a minyan
Jewish Whale ,   Haifa, Israel   (11.17.11)
I do not pray with a minyan..I don't even pray. However, this man is serving jail time- should he be served pork as well?
15. A cold blooded murderer who wears a kippa?
Talula ,   Israel   (11.17.11)
What a farce! What happended to Thou shalt not kill - or was this asshole not in school when they discussed it that day? He deserves nothing - only heartache and misery for the rest of his life.
16. let him pray in Minyan
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (11.17.11)
If he finds people who are willing to pray with him (I wouldn't be able to do so with thugs such as him), by all means...
17. keep him in the deepest, darkest, solitary cell. till he die
ralph   (11.17.11)
18. wrong. i am right of center and he must be severely punished
ralph   (11.17.11)
19. joke of the week club
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (11.17.11)
I agree with the majority of the readers that refusing Amir to pray with a minyan is revenge and serves no purpose. While Amir killed an innocent man, so do the Arab with blood on their hands and they are treated much better. Amir will never get out of prison. What is the point here? He was sentenced already; this seems unusually harsh and undemocratic..
20. to #15-
Jewish Whale ,   Haifa, Israel   (11.17.11)
According to your facist logic then the other criminals who desire to pray in jail should also be banned from doing so. there are obviously other inmates who are looking to redeem themselves through prayer.
21. First things first
GideonReader   (11.17.11)
First let me clearly state that I am not religious. I do not seek prayer, not do I subscribe to the confederation with those who do. I take people as they come. One at a time, and judge them for what they present. It seems to me the act of refusing an individual incarcerated, regardless of the nature of the offense for which he was convicted, the ability to commune with his God, is shcokingly petty, small minded and akin to the plucking of wings from butterflies. How diminished the governmental authorities become with lese majeste acts like this. Why not refuse him (Amir) toothpaste or toilet paper as well. He was convicted. He was incarcerated. He is removed from society. That was the prescribed punichment. Anything added on that was not part of his sentenancing is cruel, unusual, and stupid as well. Shame on those refusing prayer to a penitient.
22. #6 David on this planet
Moragh   (11.17.11)
The palestinians in Israeli prisons appear to be the kings of the castle. If I can get the same treatment as the Palis get, I wouldn't mind living a life of luxury at the expense of the tax-payer. The Palis seem to do ok!
23. # 19
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.17.11)
Amir did not go to prison to pray, he went to serve time for killing an innocent man. If he wants to pray let him pray alone. No amount of his praying will aleviate his crime.
24. Charisma:' zeroed' with these restrictions!
Roland Seener ,   London England   (11.17.11)
25. Will Anat Kamm get the same treatment in Prison?
rebecca ,   Modiin   (11.17.11)
26. Why disgusted, #*? He should be put to death.
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.17.11)
According to the same Torah that you and I both read - Yigal Amir should be put to death. It is the same liberal yeffe-nefesh judges and secular system that let him live. If it were strictly up to halacha - Amir would have been put to death and you and I wouldn't be paying taxes to keep him in jail and whining and moaning for more favors that are not his right. As a murderer, he's not supposed to be in a minyan anyway.
27. so hipocrite
AH ,   finland   (11.17.11)
about 40 000 israeli babies have been lost to abortion per year in Israel. How do you call this female how do this. Are they not called murderers, donĀ“t they walk free. At least he is praying forgiveness to himself and is in prison. Is there mercy if one really regrets his/hers acts. Your bible teaches so.
28. Yigal deserves no fewer rights than muslim prisoners
Oren ,   Tel Aviv   (11.17.11)
Why do Arab murderers of Jews receive full religious rights while Yigal Amir does not? This is anti-Jewish discrimination.
29. 8
Rosie   (11.17.11)
I agree.
30. In democratic Israel the left gives Amir no rights
