we have heard this over 30 yrs. iran is isolated, how otherwise they would be the 5th ot 8th largest world economy. we heard the IAEA, el baradei, tell us iran was peaceful. it may already be too late but certainly it will be too late very soon.The program is well hidden and the reactors are running. iran really does not need sophisticated nukes. Also why believe Obama??how many times has he lied to us?(not that bush or clinton was better).

Trying to find an effective sanction without hurting tne economy & without displeasing the Russians & the chinese with their separate interests is a hopeless policy which will bring about more disastrous consequences than facing short term painful decisions right now before it is too late. Perhaps an oil embargo (assuming iron tight) would both hurt Iran's regime enough & cause a temporary shock in the West to seriously work towards independance from oil which is necessary in any case with oil resources in steep decline. Politicians in the West are too well aware that the economy is a prime factor in their reelection & few have grave longer term concerns taking priority over their personnal & partisan fates.
