arutz sheva Was shut down years ago for same reasons and is now broadcasting only on the the internet. This leftist so called peace station is funded by the United States and Norway and several others please see their sponsors on their website. By the way to my knowledge the leftist station can still broadcast by the net?? arutz sheva does not have or get foreign government funding.

Not long ago there was an English speaking station, for Israelis and Arabs, supposedly run from Ramalla until the presenters got scared, and then they ran it illegally from Jerusalem. It was VERY left wing, bordering on incitement. And the more Israel said they had to have an Israeli license, the more Anti-Israel it became.

In 2003 Meretz MK Zehava Galon manged to get the right wing pro settlement radio station Arutz Sheva closed down. The station had transmitted from a ship at sea for 14 years until she came and manged to get it closed down on the grounds it was a pirate radio station. Once she managed to get the radio station closed down she went after the website claiming an article written about the intifada was inciting the murder of hundreds of thousands of palestinians. Thankfully that time she failed but it didnt stop her going after the Jerusalem Post earlier his year on the same incitement to murder charge. The left love to tell us no freedom of the press is being censured and how the government is picking on the left but when it come to attacking free press and trying to silence anybody who disagrees with them then the left win the prize every time.
