If you are a true journalist, you report facts...so libel laws do not apply to you. This should be of no concern to journalists. #36. Easy dude. You're going off the deep end. The rightist parties are working to make Israel freer. Not to impose an "Iranian style" dictatorship. Laws recently introduced in Israel, to prevent Israel's enemies from massively interfering in our internal affairs, parallel laws in many western democracies, including the U.S. The real problem leftists have with the laws is that they threaten their long held stranglehold on the media, Supreme Court etc. Though leftists are a small and shrinking minority in Israel.

the only freedom of speech I see in Israel is the freedom of biased moderators and editors to censor talkbacks. The left wing Al Jazeera by the way publishes all the posts without censorship. At least they really believe in freedom of speech.
