Spencer ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
If the Haredim support a candidate that's a very GOOD reason NOT to vote for that candidate.
3. mayor
COLIN   (11.28.11)
The datim want a secular mayor to extort more money. Thet know they will get nothing from any dati .
4. Barkat
avi ,   givat zeev israel   (11.28.11)
Barkat has been a very good mayor .Even though I dont live in Yerushalayim I work there and see the changes in the city . Kol Hakavod to him for getting the light rail going !! If Lupilianski was mayor we would be waiting for years !!
5. Who is the liar?
Vladimir ,   Yerushalayim   (11.29.11)
The Ynet reporter or professors Halevi and Rivkind? Both strongly deny any such contacts. The truth is that the charedim will never vote for a mayor candidate who does not observe Shabbat, and not a single rabbi will tell them to do so. The charedim will have their own candidate who will surely win. And this will restore justice, because thanks to them Jerusalem has a constant Jewish majority for over 150 years. If it hadn't been for the Torah Jews, Jerusalem would be another Arab city like Hebron or Shchem. More than that: Israel wouldn't have existed.
