Kam stole thousands of classified documents for publication and all she gets is 4.5 years out of a maximum 15 and as long as she does as she is told and doesn't break the rules she will be out in 2. Its just a shame she wasn't in the US Army because if she had stolen documents there her punishment would be a whole different story. Private Bradley Manning also stole thousands of documents which he then gave to Wikileaks and if convicted he will be going to prison for the rest of his life. Whilst awaiting trial Bradley manning was kept in a high security prison Anat Kam was under house arrest and as many visitors could come and visit and even that she was saying was to restrictive because she wanted to be allowed to go for walks. I am sure whilst she is in prison she will write a book ANAT KAM THE WRONGED HERO telling us all about how she is a her who has been betrayed by the system. I do see national security endangered when we have a president who rapes women. It is a matter of definition. However, I advise you to check how much she really endangered anybody by wistleblowing. When she gets out I imagine some peacenick in Europe will pay her to write a book about how she should have been given a medal for heroism but instead anti peace establishment framed her and instead of a medal she got a jail cell. Wouldn't surprise me if she got paid to do the peace making lecture circuit telling us all what a terrible country Israel is and how it imprisons its heros. She will be a rich woman so I imagine the homeless would fantasize about being in her shoes. As a soldier of the IDF Ms. Kam took the same loyalty oath that the rest of us who serve in the IDF take. Plain and simple: Ms. Kam violated that oath and choose to become a traitor. Ms. Kam's actions included stealing information about the movements of troops and very specifically the names of soldiers and officers. That is a violation of the trust which the IDF placed in her. Noa, Ms. Kam's actions did not include self-criticism if they had she wouldn't have violated her IDF Oath and she wouldn't have endangered the lives of other IDF soldiers and officers. All of that said, I do understand your point about the 7th President of the State of Israel. If you are looking for more of us to support your position on that matter please do consider reworking your logic so that WITHOUT claiming that Ms. Kam is somehow less of a criminal than the 7th President we will understand your point. At the moment you are comparing apples and oranges and we really don't get your logic there.

She was on active duty when she stole classified documents. That was a conscious act. It was an act of treason. In a great many countries, Ms. Kam would have a date with the hangman. She is selfish, she is incredibly stupid and thinks rather highly of herself, but she is also a criminal. Criminals belong in prison; Ms. Kam is exactly where she belongs. Rape, while despicable, is not treason; there was only the testimony of one aggrieved individual -- no one else came forward to corroborate her story. So "serial" hardly applies.

One big problem though, there are no police stations in the wilderness!! I must admit, I do like your idea.
