1. I Don't Agree With You
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (11.23.11)
You write : " Thus far, the Egyptian revolution did not only fail to make the lives of the people better, it made them more miserable " . Gee...It is said "GOD took six days to create heavens and earth although he could have done it in a split second ! The so-called "Egyptian Revolution of 2011 is only eleven months old , and no radical socio-political changes could be done overnight . Just think of the French Revolution of 1789 and the chaotic,blood-stained years that followed it ! Furthermore , personally I do not see any danger coming from the so-called "Moslem Brothers " in Egypt simply because all parts of the Egyptian political spectrum, left, right, centrist, and Islamists, are not willing, and can not afford to dispense with the enormous US financial and military aid Egypt gets annually. Just look at the Islamists of Tunisia who won in the parliamentary elections and immediately made it clear they will not impose Islamic law ! And here is one tip from me to the Egyptians : just take care of yourselves instead of worrying about Jerusalem simply because Jerusalem is all the time in much better shape than yours !
2. This article is ridiculous…
Ibrahim Abdallah ,   NYC, USA   (11.23.11)
Islamists WANT the elections because they will win it. This is why the Muslim Brotherhood is taking the army’s side instead of the demonstrators in Tahrir.
3. The alternative ?
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.23.11)
Radical right wingJewish takeover would make Israel's fascism a regional power base
4. ha!
Salma ,   Palestine   (11.23.11)
Zionists are praying for the Islamic Brotherhood to take over Egypt.
5. #2
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (11.23.11)
The Brotherhood would rather join a coalition with non-Islamist forces and not rule by itself, much like the way Hezbollah joined the Lebanese government. Most likely the current riots are incited by Iran as counterattack against the recent American/Saudi attacks on Iran.
6. No tourism, foreign currency running out, no mattery who
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.23.11)
runs egypt, the clock is ticking for destruction and further shitrea law from the muslum brotherhood will accelerate the destruction. Only the military can slow, not save, egypt from the inevitable collapse where the world has to rush in and save it.
7. Hats off to the Egyptians !!!!!!
Edithann ,   USA   (11.23.11)
They will do it until they get it right! They are an inspiration to all people and whoever is coordinating them should be congratulated... Wish Americans could be as 'gutsy' ! TATA
8. What about Israeli fascism?
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (11.23.11)

9. Egyptian Fascism
crazierprofessor ,   SB/USA   (11.23.11)
has begun and lost numerous wars. Israel better get ready. Lock and load.
10. exaggerated
Sam ,   Cairo, Egypt   (11.23.11)
There is a piece of truth! But i think it's exaggerated. the generals who were in charge during Mubarak’s days as well, and as we know Muslim Radicals were banned during that era, will not give up the power to the mentioned formations/
11. Michael @ 3, if you ever will begin to wonder
leo ,   usa   (11.23.11)
why your ideas do not get much traction reread your post.
12. Israel contributes to world economy by producing Israelis
observer ,   Egypt   (11.23.11)
On the tear gas canisters fired at crowds in Cairo and Egypt's towns, the letters CTS are engraved. The brand-name CTS, an acronym for Combined Tactical Systems by tactical weapons company based in Jamestown, Pennsylvania is owned by an Israeli.
13. observer @ 12, are you saying Jew
leo ,   usa   (11.24.11)
keeps getting in your face even while sitting peacefully at home?
14. #12 so
(11.24.11)
So Mubarak was a Zionist. Tantawi is a Zionist. What next? Islamic Brotherhood are Zionists also?
15. #12 Egypt also contributes
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.24.11)
By shooting down their own people in the streets for protesting, using Egyptian guns and ammunition which result in death, not mere tears CTS is an American Company, complain to the USA We can't fault Egypt for the likes of you, though we should
16. #8 Gregg - What about it?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.24.11)
When was the last time that Israel shot its own people down in the streets because they were protesting Government actions? Don't forget to supply, date, time & place and of course total fatalities

Michael ,   Haifa   (11.24.11)

20. #17 Michael - Haifa
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.25.11)
Rock was thrown, Israeli was killed, police found themselves engaged in a pre-meditated riot, did you expect them to stand their with their hands in their pockets? Police were reprimanded for over reacting, in an Arab country, let’s say Egypt, not a peep would have been heard from the Government concerning the actions of the Police Look at what is going on in Syria today; more than 3,000 (estimated) have been killed in their riots Michael, tell me the truth, were you at the riot, or do you wish you had been? You seem to be so very unhappy living in Israel, maybe you should consider moving elsewhere
21. 18 Observer
Ish Kabibble ,   Delancey   (11.25.11)
You should be at home in Egypt participating in their riots, you claim to be Egyptian, after all home is where the heart is, go there!
22. #18 OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.25.11)
It's American Taxpayers money, not yours I think that the American Taxpayer, since you'r so concerned with America's money, should stop donating a couple of billion dollars a year to Egypt, a total waste of $, since it always ends up in the corrupt hands of your leaders Why aren't you in Tahrir Square participating in the riots, scared?
23. This is using "fascism" as a slur
Ryan ,   London, Ontario   (11.25.11)
"Islamic fascism" is a fictional word, just as any claim of religious fascism is. Fascism is based upon totalitarian ultra-nationalism and secular origins - i.e. its skewed interpretation of the anti-religious Nietzsche's Ubermensch. Many Italian Fascists and Nazis despised traditional religion as they wanted a religion of ethnicity The author should have used totalitarian theocracy for their argument, but not using fascism as a slur without awareness of its secular attitude to traditional religion, that is unacceptable.
24. The Economy
sally ,   Bournemouth   (11.26.11)
People are enjoying the feeling they are achieving something by demonstrating in the square but the future is very very ominous. Egypt's economy is in a dire state. they need reserves to buy the grain to make the massively subsidised bread that millions eat. 1EGP for 2 kilos. Without this people will starve. Followers of the Islamists of which there are many more than you think and I know this as I live in Upper Egypt believe 1. That Egypt is massively rich. 2. That if it wasn't for Mubarak they would all be living a very comforable and wealthy life 3. That the Muslim Brothers and Salafists will be providing unimaginable wealth + the keys to paradise. Should they just let the Islamists have full control/no excuses accepted and see if Egypt isn't a copy of Somalia by then? I think they need a big reality check.
25. Arab attacks on Jews in 2000
Eli yahu ,   Yerushalayim   (11.28.11)
Michael, Haifa, forgets that Arabs in Jaffa, Nazareth and other places in the north were attacking Jews and besieging Nazareth Illit and Karmiel, etc. before police intervention. The Or Commission was created by the Israeli anti-national camp ---usually called the "Left"-- for their nefarious purposes. Arabs were killed while attacking police.
