1. Israel is now safer, as they will be busy killing each other
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.24.11)
2. Fatah and Hamas Partnership for planned failure.
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (11.24.11)
Israel will annex Judea, Samaria and all of E. Jerusalem which will serve as her eternal capitol.
3. Really excellent new for Israel and terrible for the PA
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (11.24.11)
I imagine Israel will very much welcome the possible reconciliation between Fatach and Hamas. That they share the same aim, would finally become clear to the world, and Israel could bundle Abbas & Co off to Gaza. And the US, EU and all of the main funders would stop their hand-outs. No peace talks have been going on between Israel and Fatach because Fatach want a Jew free Palestine and the return of millions of Arabs to Israel proper. What would become worse for Israel?
4. Ah, something warm and fuzzy for the Int'l press
Ypip ,   Canada   (11.24.11)
while Hamas plays the 'moderate' card. However, Hamas will accept no rival and will radicalize the PA.
5. Peace partner
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (11.24.11)
Hamas clearly states that their unchangeable goal and intent is the physical extermination of every man, woman and child. I guess it is now clear that Abbas has adopted this goal. What will Livni, Yihimovich and Mussi Raz say now?
6. "There are no more 'differences between us now"
tiki ,   belgium   (11.24.11)
Well said! Nethanyahu couldn't have said it better!
7. A Good Thing
Dallas ,   Canada   (11.24.11)
The sunshine of truth is the best disinfectant. Let's hope the world now will have the guts to take the PA/Hamas entity to task for their dismal failures. Hamas has no qualms about being clear on their intent, and now the PA can likewise express clarity. Any rhetoric about "peace" with Israel can now show clearly to the world the lie that it is.
8. Now they jointly need to answer some questions
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (11.24.11)
1. Will you negotiate final borders with Israel, so that the issue of developing the land with new construction projects can be settled (settlements)? 2. Will you be able to tell your people, and particularly your children at school, that Israel exists and that it is a friendly neighbor? 3. As you insist to have your own Arab state on Palestine soil, free of Jews, will you please invite the Arabs, living in Israel now, to move to the new Arab state? 4. Will you accept Israel as a Jewish state just like we would accept your potential state to be a Muslim state, ethnically cleansed of all Jews? (In fact, what the stateless Arabs are doing is plain apartheid.) 5. Will you finally agree on a security regime, that allows Israel to feel save with a new peaceful neighbor?
9. Occupy Jerusalem and Areas A,B and C
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (11.24.11)
Israel finally has learned not to act like a deer caught in a car light's beam, first panick, then flee. Israel has been reactive since Oslo 1, when it decided Begin, Shamir, Gurion, Dayan, Peres, and other right minded leaders had their eye on the ball. Israel's timid, defeatest, apologetic, and naive attitude has gotten it where, I ask?. Reflect back when Israel controlled the Strip and all of the W. Bk, and when Orient House was the big topic of Pales aggressiveness. Let the two disjointed factions unite...at least Israel can now approach one entity, with full vigor, force and action. We know that Hamas goals are the same, AND now Fatah has included a Judenrein Palestine ( 67 borders) coupled with the right of return. The aforementioned kills any deal guys. But Israel will have to make a choice. Either stay the 2 state course with all its Pales demands, or go on the offensive. Ending talks for beginners with ANY unity govt. Bibis red lines, unequivocable at Bar Ilan, should be the start and finish of compromise. Withholding Pales taxes is irrelevant, they will circumvent it, as will UNESCO (Arabia will make up the difference). Israel needs to secure its borders..define them..complete the walls, and insure Jerusalem always Jewish controlled. As US Newt G. said, do we want Israel to lob its nukes ( Iran), by ending its edge ( US military aid?). Response to Ron Paul. Says it all guys. Israel has the might, but for 20 years, not the will.
10. Fatah and Hamas Partnership
A_G ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (11.24.11)
And, what about the other factions inside Hamas (like Jihad Islami, etc.)? Even Hamas can't control them!
11. Pals Just Buried Theselves: there will be no peace
Ezra ,   USA-ISRAEL   (11.24.11)
And there will be no pal state. "no differences between us now": Abasses open declaration of the rejection of israel's right to exist. Quartet will now back out. Funding will stop. The Arab world is parilyzed with upheaval and the sick Iranian regime, Russian interference. Syrias decay, etc. Wow, it's really wild and scary to see WW3 shaping up before our eyes. Anyhow, pals are FINISHED: now they lose everything. Should be driven from the land. Maybe they'll take over Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. That's where they belong anyway. Bye "Falestine". It was not nice knowing you. Chai Yisrael.
12. Would Abbas do this if he was looking for peace with Israel?
Ah Haaa   (11.24.11)
NO WAY The cat is out of bag......
13. Fatah/Hamas Partnership
Mark ,   USA   (11.24.11)
Could it be that Hamas is finally becoming pragmatic, agreeing to accept Israel as a Jewish State? Me thinks not...The PNA has been pulling the wool over the eyes of the world, stating their willingness to accept Israel, while doing the opposite. This is actually good news for Israel, as it shows the world clearly that there is no peace partner on the other side, and never has been. Now all we need is for Israel to grow a pair and do what is needed to safeguard the Jewish people.
14. 'No differences between us' = death to Israel
David ,   Hartford USA   (11.24.11)
At least Abbas, the congenital liar-dirtbag, isn't hiding anything. Hamas wants Israel destroyed and there are 'no differences' between Hamas and the PA. I'd say Israelis had better prepare for Intifada 3, and worse.
15. good, now abbas is an offical terrorist organization
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (11.24.11)
16. Israel needs new defense minister FAST!
A ,   Belgium   (11.24.11)
Now its time to dump marshmallow Barak before he decides to give the terrorist government even more weapons. There must be SOMEONE who can return the IDF...Israel DEFENSE Forces...into being the proud military force it once was.
17. Nobody believe that...it is just
Joe Canada   (11.24.11)
a strategy for UN . Fortunately it won't work
18. United they stand, united they fall
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (11.24.11)
19. Mashaal=Abbas=Nasralla=Arafat=Evil
bjl ,   ussa   (11.24.11)
They are all the same, with the same goals, to eliminate Israel and the Jewish people. The have nothing but genocidal plans. Regardless how long it will take...they WILL try. That is why it is foolish-stupid to give them one cm of land. It is time to get in survival mode! Like David ha melech said....Like Lions they surround my hands and my feet...
20. Oh oh!
GideonReader   (11.24.11)
This statement, attributed to the political titulat heads, the "alleged ladership" of the PA and hamas is B-I-G trouble. And a marching band, with 76 trombones is not gonna fix it. Every rocket fired from Gaza. Every shot fired at a Jewish occupied, driven car on a roadway. Every rock thrown. Every suicide belt detonated is now generated by a full member of a political partnership, AND as such will reap the publicity, enjoyment, honor, and satisfaction of the seething blood lust of what appears to be the purpose driven raison d'etre of the sand savages. No fig leafs are left, and no separation of results or operations for the Israeli Left to conceal their foolishness behind. Exposure sufficient for proof of living stupidity awards. Who can you blame now. Oh yes. I forgot. Ramallah has now volunteered to be a site of response. Each outrage now has an address for the invoices to be filed at.
21. As Abbas cant get ALL ISRAEL he'll join UNSC AND HAMAS
Alan ,   SA   (11.24.11)
22. Here's my comment...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (11.24.11)
Hey leaders of the so-called " Palestinian nationalists " , Abbas & Mashaal, just listen : FATAH & the PA (Palestinian Authority ) already recognize, even if implicitly, the legitimacy of the State of Israel . So does Jordan . So does Egypt . Are they, in the eyes of HAMAS, traitors who sold out Palestine ? If yes, then why is HAMAS talking to them and co-ordinating with them ? Why should we , the Palestinian man in the street, be called traitors if we too deal with Israel ? We even prefer Israel to those two Palestinian organizations ( HAMAS & PA ) ... I have the guts to say it loudly and openly .
23. Ayfo Terry from Eilat?
GideonReader   (11.24.11)
Is Terry OK?
24. Abbas Promised a Big Jihad
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (11.24.11)
In 2005, appearing before cheering crowds, Abbas said that the period of the "little Jihad [holy war] had ended, and now the big Jihad is beginning." The crowd responded, "A Million Shahids Marching to Jerusalem!" Abbas always told the truth about his genocidal intentions in Arabic. It is exceedingly wicked that American, European, British and other taxpayers have been forced to finance the PLO/Palestinian Authority Muslim terrorist organization whose goal has always been the Muslim conquest of Israel and Jewish annihilation. The financing of global jihad with tax dollars from non-Muslims must end immediately.
25. Differences between the two...
Fred ,   Sweden   (11.24.11)
...can always be solved by dropping the opposing party from a highraiser. A quick and proven way to to find solutions to differences that might appear. For a even quicker implementation of the solution agreed upon, I'd recommend the Fatah guys to try to hit the ground running when they experience their involuntary base jumps... Also, I suppose this means that IDF's target list have all of a sudden gotten twice as long...happy hunting
26. "United" they stand
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.25.11)
"United they fall." Ciao, babies.
27. #23...Gideon Reader
Malone ,   Hfx   (11.25.11)
I saw a comment from Terry on Pajamas Media about a month or so ago, maybe 2 months ago..a bit vague,I know.
