1. Israel didn't learn from Egypt, Tunisia or Libya
Khaled ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.11)
The israeli government didn't learn from its neighbor. When you exercise this amount of pressure on the people, don't expect sweet reactions.
2. the PA is a scam
zionist forever   (11.27.11)
Whenever the PA want money for something they say if you don't give us this money we desperately need then we won't be able to afford to pay our workers. If them asked for $100 and you offered $99 they would come back and say if you don't give us the extra $1 we will be in desperate financial crisis. When was the last time anybody amongst the PA top brass ever stopped paying themselves their salary which is substantially more than the average worker? Its true the PA don't pay workers for months at a time and say its because they don't have enough money but truth is its done for politics. The people who are not being paid blame it on Israel and the western donor countries look and see how these PA employees have gone unpaid and so the guilt sets in and they dig deep and find more money for the PA The only people who are smart enough to see through this scam are the arabs which is why they don't come running when the PA comes begging.
3. Israel, keep the money..
Beary White ,   Norway   (11.27.11)
, and pay it to everybody who has been suffering/are victims of the hamas terror-actions. Why should Israel transfer money if a reconciliation between Abbas and Hamas are agreed? Hamas' charter is to destroy Israel and remove every jews.!!! Why the hell should ANYBODY want to support such agreement??? And I am very sorry to say that our current leftis norwegian government is supporting the abbas/hamas coalition. Braindead people.
4. 2 fixes: Renounce UNESCO membership or ask for peace talks.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.27.11)
5. Once again: same old story, it's a lusy circus!
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.27.11)
-then we'll start paying like a Tata'le...
6. Pal's show us they don't want peace or money
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.27.11)
All the Pals have to do is resume peace talks and they'd get the money. But they refuse, and demand preconditions. Israel could easily do the same thing and refuse to talk until the Pals put 100% freeze on terror attacks (they can't and the won't). The refusal to enter peace talks even for desperately needed money is just more proof that the Pals do not want peace with Israel.
7. #1 Khalid,
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (11.27.11)
"Sweet reaction"? Israeli governments have demonstrated their good will towards the PA and received terror, hateful propaganda in the palestinian media, the education system is uncivilized. The PA is dedicated to the destruction of the jewish state and should be treated as an enemy!
8. Banky Looney must start paying the PA immediately.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (11.27.11)
He is in favour of the WELFARE state of "Palestine". He must forthwith pass the hat around to all those who voted in favour of admission to UNESCO, step 1 towards statehood. The UN can't expect other states to fund this welfare state they want to create, especially when they damn well know that the PA meets NONE of the requirements of statehood. Clinton and Tony Blair must also give their salaries directly to the PA instead of calling on Israel to prop up this disaster of a "state". Israel should totally IGNORE the threats and bleats of these beggars and vagrants.
9. Pauper Palestinian State
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.11)
Let them reduce the extremely-high monthly allowances that Yasser Arafat's widow and her daughter get at the expense of the hungry Palestinian people ( she gets some $12000 per month ?). This is a pauper Palestinian state that is not wearing any clothes .Would I want to belong to it ? Absolutely not !
10. Khaled # 1
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.27.11)
Read post number 2. As for sweet reactions, nobody in their right minds expects that from Muslims as a group. They don't have it in them.
11. Use the aid money your corrupt leaders stole!
(11.27.11)
Arafat stole 4Billion Dollars. How much have the current leaders stole? What about the billions diverted to terror, propaganda and harassment? Israel is not about to pay the salaries of those who spit in its face! You claim the funds are part of the Oslo accords. So is your duty to stop terror, incitement and calls to the destruction of Israel. Since the so called "palestinians" do not meet all their obligation under the Oslo Accord, they cannot demand that Israel meets it obligation!
12. #1 Arabs forgot the lessons of the lost wars against Israel
(11.27.11)
You also forgot the frequent cleanup we've been forced to do in Gaza and Lebanon. That can easily be done in the West Bank too. The luxurious life in Ramallah will be destroyed, together with the obscene garbage pile you raised on top of Arafat's damned remains.
13. What's more important, "settlements" or paying your people?
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.27.11)
14. Sanctions starting to bite???????
tiki ,   belgium   (11.27.11)
I don't think so. A few days before Abbas pledged his love for Hamas by saying that "there is no difference between them", the EU decided to 'raise the aid package to the Palies with another 100 million EUR! I don't think there is 'one EU taxpayer who knows that his valuable money is send into the deep pockets of Palies leaders. Nobody taks about this, it's top secret. (read it in the Commentator magazine/GB) EU CRISES?.....Not for the Palestinians!
15. why give anything to terrorist government?
A ,   Belgium   (11.27.11)
Fatah wants to align itself with hamas, which almost the whole civilized world (except Ehud Barak and a few other knesset members) recognizes as a terrorist organization. And they still expect Israel to give them money. What a pathetic bunch, too bad the Iranian monkey is busy threatening Turkey, and their rich Gulf oil baron "brothers" are satisfied with scratching their own fat a$$e$ instead of helping their poor "palestinian brothers".
16. morally this money belongs to the IDF
zionist forever   (11.27.11)
The palestinians continue to fire rockets and so the IDF must buy expensive weapons to protect the Israeli public. Iron Dome cost $50,000 a pop so the costs mount up and the government is cutting the IDF budget to fund social welfare programs. The IDF needs money to protect the country so give them this money which would otherwise go to the people who are costing the IDF money. Morally it should go to the protectors not the terrorist supporters.
17. Does this mean....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.27.11)
Sufa Arafat might have to take a pay cut? How cruel and inhumane. Oh the agony!
18. Don't force a "Palestinian state" down our throat and expect
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.27.11)
us to collaborate with you. Instead, come to the negotiating table and talk peace, including accepting Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people!!
19. PA wanted to play unilateral games...
Z.Z. Coltrane ,   USA   (11.27.11)
...now let'em suffer the consequences. Since they are stupid sand savages, they'll have to learn the rules of the game the hard way. No more big daddy handouts...so make them take care of their own. It'll teach these children the real lesson of growing-up and learning how to play nice. They are monkeys' so it may take a little while longer. Make sure you have a lot of bananas for a treat for a job well done; small, incremental steps for babies usually does the trick. God bless Israel!
20. Dear Hamas: Too Bad. Sell You Weapons For Money!
emanon ,   USA   (11.27.11)
21. PA unable to pay wages
Issy Hass ,   Ra'anana-Israel   (11.27.11)
The PA just paid some good money to the prisoners ,who murdered innocent people, after being released from Israel what about the flying machine of Abu-Mazen around thw world to spread hatered against the jewish state Issy
22. Khalid you learn from you history ???
Texan   (11.27.11)
Khalid Yes Yes Yes we learn from our history I can tell you Never again Never forget Israel stand strong and tall !!! We are the Nation of survivours!!!!
23. where is the money for Rawabi coming from
zionist forever   (11.27.11)
The PA are currently in the process of building a town for the rich and middle classes called Rawabi. If they can afford to build an entire town from scratch they must have at least a couple of billion hidden under a mattress in somebodies room.
24. after all the money Arafat stole, he complains?
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (11.27.11)
Abbas is a master liar. He uses this as a excuse to attack the injustice he want the world to perceive as Israel. It does not matter that the USA gives them billions which they have not used much to help their people. What matters is to besmirch the good name of Israel even with a flimsy lie. The rest of the world is hungry to believe it and that is really what counts to him.
25. No money to the Palestinians
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (11.27.11)
Let the Palis go begging to the europeans who love to donate them money. Let the Europeans arrange for export of Gaza's goods without Israel in the loop. what do we need to have anything to do with Gaza? Cut off the electricity and water, while we're at it.
26. #23
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (11.27.11)
Netanyahu is building Rawabi, not the Arabs
27. Say Uncle, and do as we say, negotiate without precondition
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.28.11)
...so we look good to the world while we steal your land.
28. #1 - Hahaha, Khaled. Surely you remember 2000
William ,   Israel   (11.28.11)
In 1999, Israel was already giving years of concessions, work visas to bolster the "Palestinian" economy, water and agricultural cooperation, building infrastructure in Gaza and Judea/Samaria, pulled back all roadblocks and allowed freedom of movement of "Palestinians" between Eilat and Metulla.... They had the fastest growing economy in the world, a sovereign State was basically assured, and average "Palestinians" and Israelis met and worked together regularly.... and the Arabs gave it all up to launch a terrorist war against Israeli civilians with more war crimes than one can count. We know what good deeds are worth to the Arab population. We know what pressure is considered in the Arab world. Keep in mind, while in Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya where people are randomly arrested and beaten, where property is taken from people by the govt routinely, where the whole Arab Spring began with a man killing himself over the destruction of his fruit stand by police, the "Palestinians" have a better chance at a good future, have endless opportunities to choose peace over violence, and have a greater life expectancy and literacy rates than any other Arab country except for Qatar. In Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia, the people were not trying to ethnically cleanse their countries. "Palestinians" chose racist violence and they have only themselves to blame for it. By the way - Israel isn't obligated to collect or transfer the funds since the PA broke the Oslo Accords.
29. no 11
Jennie ,   Israel/Us   (11.28.11)
Excellent points, couldn't agree more to all of your post... Your points are fit to be presented to the pa authority as an official Israeli response...
30. to Noodles @ 13
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (11.28.11)
The correct answer is: Absoultely Settlements ! Israel is not obligated, nore is under any kind of peaceful or contractual obligation to assist their very "active" and hostile enemies to a tune of $ 100 million a month...Wow!! First and Foremost, We have an obligation to our Nation's and our Homeland's survival and not to the survival of our enemies... OK, Noodles ? How typical, that people like you are nowhere to be found, when Israel is attacked.. And FYI : The so-called settlements are our ancient land of Yehuda and Shomron, that has been liberated by IDF in defensive wars against Israel and will remain in Israel's control undisputedly and indefinitely...
