I feel so sorry for Israel, having to live in a constant state-of-war. About time the army learned to operate within its budget, everybody knows that there is still plenty of excess fat there.

Eliminate the minister and most of the rest of them. Keep the tax collectors. Eliminate welfare, stop payments from the National Insurance Institute to the families of prisoners, no more money to non Zionists groups or schools, stop the alyah of the elderly and sick, make all draft dodgers pay a defense tax on each member of their families and enforce the tax laws. Have the bank of Israel give some of the billions of dollars they have for the defense of the country. Also make sure the blame for any soldiers that were not trained enough or had the right equipment and weapons and were killed or injured as well as any civilians casualties in a new war goes to the ministry of finance. They cut the I.D.F. budget before the 2006 war and we know the results. Finally stop with all these committees under retired judges! We can do without their recommendations.

The defense cuts were done to meet popular demand, so the cabinet should partially reverse them. About half of what was cut should go back to the IDF.

take a look at the missions they have abroad...........................there are those with over 200 people working in some. the military attaches drive the fanciest cars, they educate their children in the most expensive schools and they really do NOTHING except attend cocktails and parties. They rarely sell anything. And IF they sell they need one person not 100. Cutbacks can and should be made here. I KNOW what I am talking about.
