he does not live in Israel, has no everyday connection with Israel and certianly does not see Israel as a biblical right to the Jewish people. He does not represent the Jewish people. Israel is facing the "biggest erosion of its strategic environment since its founding. It is alienated from its longtime ally Turkey. Its archenemy Iran is suspected of developing a nuclear bomb. The two strongest states on its border — Syria and Egypt — are being convulsed by revolutions. - says Friedman. But Israel never had relations with Turkey at its founding or Egypt. And all of the other areas; Leb, Syria, Gaza etc were all filled with militant groups in 1948. If anything the situation is much better now than 48 because Israel has a strong alliance with the US (which it didn't in 48). And cold peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan (better than nothing). So what is he talking about??!

The problem lays outside Israel, with muslim contries buried into anger of the developed state of Israel, how they succeed and have got internationional recognition, and a BIG contributor to the international civilized world,. while arabs/islam totally fails in their own contries in the devotion of an evil power.
