Just because his solution isn't to forever occupy the Palestinians and conduct endless wars with Israel's neighbors does not mean he is a "self-hating Jew" (a strange term if there ever was one.) If Jewish, American writers based in NYC have become the "enemy" you might want to ask yourself if your views are a bit extreme.

Netanyahu’s diagnosis is vehementaly correct, and Thomas Friedman is eager to misinterpretate, fail and be mistaken. I will clear my statement: 1) Nonsense. Obama did help to out throw Mubarak while criticizing him and his regime through his visit in Egypt. Ever since Obama pushed Mubarak into the corner and by that he encouraged the already inner opposition aggression – “the people”, which in Arabic means “political opposition”. 2) Nonsense. Thomas Friedman seemed to unnotice that ‘Arab secular opposition’ in Arab states means ‘Anti Isreal’, exactly as the Islamic movements mean. 3) Nonsense. Friedman says “Arab dictators were convenient for Israel and the Islamists — but deadly for Arab development and education.” As if he blames Israel for the 50 years of Arab dictatorship. Israel doesn’t vote in the corrupted Arab regimes. As a matter of fact Israel and Israelis and even Netanyahu say for 60 years that peace will endure only when democraticies will spring in the Arab world. 4) Nonsense. To do nothing is also to do. Sometimes it’s better to wait and see where the flood is flowing and hold your breath under the wave in order to break out in proper time and condition to meet the new reality in order to promote your interests. 5) Nonsense. Abu Abbas regime (which Friedman calls “Fayyad needs”) is an obstacle to peace. They even don’t accept Israel as the legitimate state of the Jewish people but see it as unfortunate temporarily “regime”. “PA security forces” help to ‘protect Israel’ exactly as they did prior to the last Intifada. I wonder if Friedman forgot this kind of reality. Fayyadism is much a kind of illusion, a wolf in a sheep wool. 6) Have you even thought that Jordan is Palestine? That's Not Nonsense.
