joel ,   usa   (12.01.11)
with less than 4,000 dead in Libya, the UN sent troops and aircraft to demolish the despot Gadhaffi regime, and WHY IS THE UN JUST WATCHING WHILE MORE THAN 4,000 SYRIAN CIVILIANS ARE SLAUGHTERED BY ASSAD, HA? WELL, THERE IS NO OIL IN SYRIA, HA, HA, HA!

3. Syria ans Iran should beware
Roger ,   Lima, USA   (12.01.11)
Syria and Iran should be afraid. The prophet of the LORD God has said Damascus SHALL be destroyed in one day. It has also been prophescied that in a future time armies including Iran will turn toward Israel the LORD God's chosen people and only 1/6th of those armies will return to their homelands. Syria and Iran should be very afraid.

5. they started bombing Gaddafi after he killed 1000
zionist forever   (12.01.11)
In Libya the British & French couldn't wait to start dropping bombs and proving they were still great powers even without the Americans ( and they were proven wrong ). With everybody from the Europeans - Americans want to just tell Assad he is a naughty boy and sit back enjoy the show, Erdogan seems to be the only one pushing for military action and the only reason for prestige. Four thousand deaths later and not only is nobody doing anything but syria is sending missiles and even an air craft carrier to protect Assad. This just shows that the attitudes of the big powers is just the same as it was during WW2. They like to pretend to take the moral high ground but if they don't believe its in their best interests they will bury their heads in the sand just the way they did when they refused to bomb Aushwiutz because they didn't want to waste bombs.

danicoh ,   panama, panama   (12.02.11)
If I would be syrian I would be really mad at the world leftist and arabs around the world.. I would feel that a syrian dead is not worth a mass demonstration in London, Paris or Germany . Nor burned tires, nor flags stomped ..nothing... a syrian dead is not worth as a pal is.. and that shocks me..I would ask the left is they have a certain preference for some type of oppressed or they look for the cause that will bring make them look good..

I agree with you its not a civil war, its an uprising that Assad is trying to put down. It doesn't matter if its 4000 or 4 million because the difference between civil war and insurgency is motive not death toll.
