but like other Grecian institutions they were adopted by Jews. The Yeshiva is another example.
I do not see anything wrong with men and women sitting separately in the synagogue but at a lecture hall? on a bus? at a seuda? that is ridiculous.

Glad to hear that this isn't the case in your area but Ethiopian children in Petach Tikvah and Beith Shemesh are segregated in city day cares and schools. I see this news didn't make it to English media because it's too embarrassing.

Presumably, Amar would have no objections if secular soldiers got up and politely left when a Rabbi is called in to lecture at an army unit.
