Refinaries, and other special economical sites must fund the program to buy more batteries, to leave some space to IDF can act. The eletric company must fund urgently some batteries or missiles. They wont fire 1or2...

And I'm not talking about just YNet or the Israeli MSM I'm talking in general and in a blanket way. Do the military call the media and tell them their plans? Of course not! Anything that you read before the act is pure speculation; unless there's some major scoop. And that shouldn't have been published anyway!

Firstly Iron Dome was designed for shooting down the short range rockets Hamas fire from Gaza whilst Hezbollah are using a longer range rocket which Iron Dome is not designed to deal with. There is also the fact that if Hezbollah started firing rockets into Israel it would be in a barrage and we would run out of interceptors before they ran out of rockets. Barak warned Assad if a single Scud lands in Tel Aviv Israel will flatten Damascus and one city after another until the attacks stop. Time to tell Lebanon the same thing & remind them we got bombs as well and next time Beirut will be bombed.

Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (12.06.11)
1. Make sure, that Israels enemies have trouble to hit us and can cause only minor damage compared to the effort, they have in hitting us. 2. Hit them hard in return. This time, we cannot take so much care to avoid collateral damages, as we did in 2006. Since "they" stockpiled so many weapons and are continuously threatening us. As they do not distinguish between civilians and legitimate targets, we must behead the enemies war-infrastructure within the first few hours. Even if the enemy has thousand heads.

So tell me exactly how this would help if multiple rockets are launched at the same time??

destruction will be used against southern Lebanon if weapons are found there in violation of UN resolution 1701 and then let them deal with it.

Dan ,   Florida   (12.06.11)
The fight must be taken to Hezbollah and those that have succumbed to this murderous cult. People can believe what they want but when they murder innocents in the name of that cult, then a robust response is called for.

Thus resulting in significant damage to Akhziv, Rosh haNikra, Nahariyya and several other towns and kibbutzim depending on the weapons...
13. #9 - that is Iron Domes purpose.
Michael Redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (12.06.11)
The system is designed to counter short-range rockets and 155 mm artillery shells with a range of up to 70 kilometers. According to its manufacturer, Iron Dome will operate day and night, under adverse weather conditions, and can respond to multiple threats simultaneously Why don't you learn before posting and that way you would save others a lot of time?

Iron Dome cannot deal with a barrage pf rocket. Even if it can deal with multiple threats at the same time it doesn't have enough fire power to do the job. An Iron Dome battery consists of about 20 interceptors so it can't deal with barrages which is its biggest flaw. Its also designed to deal with the short range Katushas & Grads used by Hamas rather than the longer rage ones used by Hezbollah. Iron Dome like all weapons has its place, You wouldn't take a tank if you wanted to rescue a hostage from a building but if you want to go into the open country and shoot at lots of bad guys its great.

Joe sombreo ,   Usa   (12.06.11)
I was in a red adom situation several months ago at the border I know what it can do you know the enemy knows that these systems can't prevent 20 rockets at a time on a Single target at once as might occurred during a massive attack Israel dioes not have that many of these systems. Where are you in TA.
18. The next war with Hezbollah will be painful enough to justif
Stephen in New York   (12.06.11)
Israel annexing south Lebanon up to the Litani. Why is that justified? The UN Security Council resolution following the end of the last war called for southern Lebanon from the border to the Litani to be demilitarized. The complete and utter failure of this pretense resolution demands that Israel ensure that the land south of the Litani does not continue to be the forward offensive position of Hezbollah.
