1. I don't really know much about this guy...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.07.11)
other than the fact that he was convicted of rape, but this coverage of him seems cruel and mocking. Surely that's not necessary, professional, or right.
2. haha right
pini   (12.07.11)
3. I am sick and tired of him and his ilk
Al   (12.07.11)
Begin found this dummy to cury favour with the sephardim. He is a shame to all including sephardim. He was convicted for raping a women what could be worse than that for he was a President of a country. And yet we have the usual idiots who believe he was framed...blah blah blah. He is not worthy of our time and concern. Forgetabouthim! He is history.
4. #3- "Al", look in the mirror
Daniel Rossi ,   ny, ny   (12.07.11)
Who do you think you are to pass judgment? The issue is 2 Harlets accuse someone of rape, years and years ago. NO EVIDENCE. Never came forward till years later, when their 'career' hit a blockade... Maybe you raped someone as well?! We'll try you publicly, embarrass you, ruin you, all based on a statement by a person who shall remain nameless. We'll call her claimant 'A'. How do you like them apples?!
5. katzav got what he deserved
jan ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.07.11)
katzav would refused to help or get involved in any way to prevent the Jews from Gush Katif from being expelled from their homes! He denied them their rights! Now he is being locked up and thrown out of his home! He gets a bit of a taste of bitterness! Too bad he can't re-instate Gush Katif to the Jewish People again and cause it to bloom once again in jewish hands, rather than "boom" with weaponry and hatred in the hands of the arabs!
6. Hey everybody: concentrate on Assad,Obama, Aquadinejad,BIBBI
tom ,   tel aviv   (12.08.11)
7. Prison numbers
Paul ,   Johannesburg SA   (12.08.11)
I would have thought that in the Jewish state prisoners would not be assigned specific numbers. It conjures up holocaust imagery and makes light of the difficulty of counting Jews.
8. no evidence
john sombrero ,   usa   (12.08.11)
No evidence or proof sounds like he was framed. Interestung Peres became the Next president
9. Katsav and Benizri
Haim ,   TA   (12.08.11)
How quaint Katsav and Benizri sharing a cell. Make a lovely couple. Wonder who`s on top (bunk) maybe when they get out they can form a new political party? How about the " Con-Servatives"
10. KATSAV SAGA !
Mark ,   T.a. Israel   (12.08.11)
AFTER SEEING THIS VERDICT BELIEVE ME I AM AFRAID EVEN TO COMPLIMENY A WOMAN FEARING THAT SHE COULD GO TO THE POLICE AND COMPLAIN THAT I TRIED TO SEDUCE AND RAPE HER ! FINITO THE BEAUTIFUL RELATION BETWEEN ME AND WOMEN IN ISRAEL !!!
11. In the world of politics anything is possible..
Asher ,   NY,USA   (12.08.11)
Maybe he is innocent or he is a victim of political scam...specially when you even mention his number only to embarrassing him more..... What that number has to do with anything??!! Doesn't it make his crime more colorful? Actually I believe you try to cover some Truths with mentioning those digits......I never saw any surveys of what public thinks in Israel about all of these scams and if really people think that was a Just verdict or a political scam...... Who knows what really is behind all of this but one thing is for sure obvious and that there is a real big change of how a President actually get into Israel's politics after Katsav.. Maybe it is a Putin's version of Israel's power struggle....
12. #3 you took the words from my mouth
Shalom Hartman   (12.08.11)
Katsav has been sacrificed at the alter of "enlightened democracy". There has not been one shred of evidence. The whole case reminds me of the Dreyfus Trials.
13. 1418989, such a lucky number, mazel tov.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.08.11)
14. 4 the man was judged in court.
Ali Clark ,   Scotland   (12.08.11)
What are You talking about? Courts do not convict innocent ex ministers of the government. with no evidence.
15. #4 ... What. The. Hell?
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.08.11)
16. katsav
harry ,   stoke on trent, uk   (12.08.11)
I dont think he was guilty and he should be released. Evidence did not seem to be sufficient. President Perez should pardon him.
