1. Let's be realistic
Tom ,   USA   (12.08.11)
The Jewish vote is numerically insignificant compared to other ethnic groups and as a corollary cannot sway the outcome. The Jewish power rests with its money, its prominent position in the media, Hollywood and Leftist PAC-s, (political action committee). These influential Jewish circles are solidly behind Obamao: Movie mogul Katzenberg pulled $2 million out of his pocket as if it were a coin and gave it to Obamao.
2. Beating dead horse...
2Mad ,   צרפת   (12.08.11)
'cos merkin "jews" actually care about Israel slightly less then their beloved hussein do.
3. Don't hold your breath!
shrinkDave ,   Miami USA   (12.08.11)
There is no president alive who has not promised to move the embassy to Jerusalem. There is no American president that ever will move the embassy to Jerusalem. OIL. OIL. OIL. Neft. Delek.
4. Want the Jewish vote? Promise an underground subway in T.A.
tom ,   tel aviv   (12.08.11)
5. It's a travesty and a shame to exclude Ron Paul
usa   (12.08.11)
A republican candidate wasnt invited because if his "extreme" views. Where's the democracy Jews? Where was democracy for Meir Kahane? Where was the democracy for Kach? Ron Paul better for America and better for Israel. These republicans want to keep Israel a slave state and America its master just like Ron Paul said.
6. #1 is wrong - votes do count
Richard ,   USA   (12.08.11)
We cannot just give up. While the Jewish vote is small it is highly important in some key states. Our money is also important and we need to counter the leftists movie money by contributiing whatever we can to defeating Obama. The fate of both the USA and Israel is at stake. We mjust defeat Obama before he does irreversible damage, if he hasn't already done so.
7. The Road to Washington
James ,   Canada   (12.08.11)
The Road to Washington runs straight through Tel Aviv, Israel. It is very disturbing.
8. The Founding Fathers
James ,   Canada   (12.08.11)
The poor Founding Fathers must be rolling in their graves at the level of influence a foreign country has in Washington. What would they say?
9. Republican Support of Israel
Steve ,   USA   (12.08.11)
Is real and has been so for a number of years. To say that they are pandering to the Jewish vote is a 'Democratic Party' position and is untrue and very hypocritical in fact. Just look at what has transpired recently with comments by Leon Panetta and Hillary Clinton. Both echo the Administrations policy of 'pandering to the UN' or overwhelmingly anti-Israel factions in the world of at best 'neutral', which may as well mean 'anti'. As far as the Jewish vote not being 'significant', not true. In swing States the Jewish vote is crucial. Besides, it's not only the Jewish vote that is in question, 98% of the Christian Evangelist vote is very pro Israel. When asked by a Fox News anchor woman today, Debbie Wassermann Schultz refused (avoided) answering the question, 'Why has Pres. Obama not visited Israel (as President). Instead she went on with the Administrations latest 'defense' of being the most supportive of Israel. A fact that is almost comical. $$$ don't mean anything as agreements are agreements and is not the Support Israel needs at this crucial time. if your a Jew, vote Republican. Unless Israel means nothing to you.
10. #1
R ,   Israel   (12.08.11)
While you are right that Jews are a small part of the population, they turn out to vote and thus may count for a higher percentage of the votes. In addition, sometimes it is a very small percentage of votes that can cause the difference. George Bush's election was really close. Anyway, after the way Obama has treated Israel, I wouldn't vote for him if he was running against Micky Mouse.
11. Why does Ynet allow adds like
Pasquinel ,   Canada   (12.08.11)
i support tahrir etc. Such antisemites, I do not get it. I do not want them on my screen.
12. Obama has had the jewish vote in his back pocket already
zionist forever   (12.08.11)
13. Not only the Jewish vote which is minimal
Devorah   (12.08.11)
Don't think for a minute that the seculars and Evangelical Christians who are fed up with Obama pandering to islam are not paying attention to what these Republican candidates are saying. They are already mopping the floor with Obama on just this one issue.
14. Move the embassy...again?
Neal ,   Minneapolis, USA   (12.08.11)
Obama's attitude toward Israel is very troubling, but the only Republican candidate who shows any mental stability is Mitt Romney -- not exactly Mr. Charisma. And the Republican social agenda conflicts almost totally with the commands of the Torah. Don't let a commitment to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem fool you. I've heard that from candidate after candidate (well, maybe not Jimmy Carter) for decades and after the election, president after president signs off on a document delaying the move -- which actually was required by Congress -- for reasons of national interest. Don't forget that during his campaign. Obama professed to be a dear friend of Israel. He still does, but as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.
15. Not quite, Folks: The Jewish vote in the
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (12.08.11)
USA is not only about demographics although that factor in and of itself is important where strong Jewish communities exist such as in the state of Florida. In such regions, a solid Jewish vote can make the difference given the electoral system utilized in the United States. But this isn't all. Jewish contributions in terms of funding is very important and, more so, Jewish influence in the media, academia and in professional circles. That is not all, however. Protection of Israel is essential to garner the votes of evangelical Christians who would refuse to endorse a candidate not seen as loyal to Israel. That is one major reason that Barack Obama will never obtain any of their votes and all of them (Evangelicals) do get out and vote, no exceptions.
16. Anyone but comrade O'BlameO
J1 ,   Earth   (12.08.11)
17. I was thinking of abstaining, but I might actually vote Rep.
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.08.11)
Hmmm... Gingrich might actually get my vote with a promise like that. I would rather like seeing a nice US Embassy in Jerusalem. I have never been to the one at haYarkon though, so I don't know how the diplomats would feel about leaving it (though I'd pick Tel Aviv over Yerushalayim in a heart beat). I also like Bachmann's pledge of not only a Jerusalem embassy, but also recognition of the Golan Heights as part of Israel and settlements. However, even that promise isn't enough for me to look past her almost violent homophobia. I would rather be shot than vote for her. I hope that either Romney or Gingrich (perhaps both) will pick up her promises so that she can written off completely. One this country does not need is Michelle Bachmann!
18. Know the candidate well
Brod ,   USA   (12.08.11)
Despite what they say, voters need to know the candidates well. Gingrich is a Papist like Panetta and Biden. Listen to what Ben Gurion says about a previous Papist President named Kennedy. He said that he was the worst President he had encountered. This was not surprising because Papism invented AntiSemitism that led to the ravaging of the Holy Land by Papist Crusaders, the Inquisitions and later, the Holocaust. For 1260 years from 538 AD, Papism reigned Terrorism over Europe persecuting Jews and Judeo-Christians-Waldensians, Albigensians, Huguenots, Lollards, Protestants, etc until 1798 when French General Berthier captured and incarcerated the Pope. As the Book of Revelation reveals the 'Wounded Beast' would be healed. And this occured when Mussolinni rehabilitated and propped the Pope in 1922. Today, Papism is aggressively dominating Judeo-Christian/Protestant America. Papism and Islamist-Jihadism have the same persecuting history. They share the same Luciferian god that is hellbent on the pathway of destruction against GOD'S people. The best candidate is Romney who is a Judeo-Christian, a leader with a proven leadership track record in both the public and private sectors, a Harvard graduate, articulate, patriotic, knows the challenges that America faces (read his book "No Apology"), will turn around America's ailing economy and restore America's greatness. He is also a true friend of Israel and knows the importance of Israel as friend and ally of America in a volatile region.
19. a shower of ...
paul ,   Germany   (12.08.11)
Scumbag politicians interested only in pushing their war machine onwards to fill their pockets. It will be obama again unless he goes head to head with ron paul, that libertarianism is taking america by storm not sure if he has the funding though
20. Since 48",every single US president lied.
Yosef   (12.08.11)
regarding the American embassy in Jerusalem.( a lie, an untrue statement with INTENT to deceive - and they've done it ).Would the addition of Gingrish make it more presidential?, or will he find the usual, overused excuse for postponement, the damned Arabs, America's best friends (yeak!). Very obvious that Obama is a consumed liar as were his predessessors. One cannot aspire to be an American without this trait .History doesnt lie. Even the arabs cannot usurp these facts -- but the stupid intelligentsia does, Jews included.
21. american embassy
sue ,   israel   (12.08.11)
we hear the same old story during every election campaign.......hope that no one takes this seriously. in the meantime the property that was purchased for the embassy - is no longer "vacant".

24. Symbolic but futile
Cameron ,   USA   (12.08.11)
Nice try, gents, but you might as well be appealing to a brick wall. Those ducats will pour into Dem coffers like a golden waterfall in the months ahead. It is a critical strength for Dems, and true worry for 2012.
25. I am not a 1 issue voter
misha ,   Philadelphia, USA   (12.08.11)
Michele Bachmann is a crackpot. I will not vote for people who do not believe in evolution, believe humans and dinosaurs walked together, are anti-science, belive reproductive freedom should be criminalized, and will subvert the 1st Amendment. The GOP's goal is to theocratize the US. I was raised by Survivors, and was a kibbutznik for a year. I loved the Eilat beach. When I was in Anchorage for the Iditarod, a met a minister in Sarah Palin's denomination. He demanded I let him baptize me. After his hectoring and my refusal, he said "Auschwitz was divine retribution because you people have refused to accept G-d's only son. A woman with him told me Jewish people "deserve to suffer." I will remember that every time I go into the voting booth. Palin and her denomination fund Jews For Jesus. Michelle Obama has a first cousin who is a rabbi. Here's a gem from your BFF John Hagee: Hagee blamed American economic problems on the fact that the Federal Reserve System is controlled by "a group of Class A stockholders, including the Rothschilds." In the same series, Hagee further asserted that the Rothschilds, who are Jewish, were part of a wide-ranging conspiracy of "international power brokers based in Europe." He also demonstrated to his congregation how the Magen David and the menorah are on US paper currency in disguise. In his book "Jerusalem Countdown," Hagee claims that Adolf Hitler was born from a lineage of "accursed, genocidally murderous half-breed Jews." On page 149 in a chapter with the title 'Who Is a Jew?', Hagee writes: "It was Esau's descendants who produced the half-breed Jews of history who have persecuted and murdered the Jews beyond human comprehension ... Adolf Hitler was a distant descendant of Esau." Sorry.

romney !
27. James in Canada
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.08.11)
I do hope you realise that despite the location of the embassies, Israel is actually governed out of Jerusalem right? As well, it is rather rude to try and speak for our founding fathers in my opinion. We do not do the same for the fellows that founded Canada, do we?
28. embassy
colin   (12.08.11)
Lies, untruths and falsehods. This Gringich is as all the past presidents. He will move the embassy to Jerusalem as was done by all the lieing presidents of america in the past.

Sarah B. ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.08.11)
