One technological advantage the US had was just "gifted" to Iran which will give Russia and China acess to understand and develop counter measures to our stealth technology. The captured drone should have been immediately destroyed by "whatever means necessary".

If the drone in the video is true, the explanation is that somebody hacked the drone, take control and landed it. I remember that few days ago was noticed that Americans drones were infected by computer virus. Maybe the events are related and other countries like China already were involved in the drone capture since the virus infection.

Ok, we have a drone that certainly wasn't, by looking at the pics, shot down. Nor did it crash from any height, or at any speed. Quite frankly it looks like it was put down after a malfunction with a view to recovering it. Now, destruction would be the preferred option if it were in Iran, so that is out. If it were in Afghanistan or Pakistan, possibly, a high chance of recovering the multimillion dollar airframe means they'd try it. But it appears someone else got there first... Now, looking at the pictures of it in Iran, it was trucked (that would explain the wings being taken off). Probably not practicable in Afghanistan due to checkpoints, etc. But in Pakistan... The Military is corrupt, treacherous and stupid enough to try it. Let's say it was crashlanded in Pakistan, say anytime in the last few weeks. Presumably the US troops would have tried to recover it. If Pakistani troops tried to prevent them doing so, there would have been a firefight between US & Pakistani troops in the last couple of weeks. If that had happened, it is quite likely that an attempt would have been made to destroy the airframe, probably by an airstrike regardless of where it was. Hmmmm, it isn't like there has been any Pakistani troops killed inside their bases by not one, but two, accidental, cross-border airstrikes (the first in 10 years to hit a base, and then 2 in one night) is there?
