Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.09.11)
Regardless of how incompetent police throughout Connecticut are, if it was admittance by appointment only then there must be names down. Horrible thing this. My sweetest aunt lives in Westport. I hope they catch this blood thirsty killer soon.

6. Just so the Israeli readers know...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.10.11)
I do a lot of shopping in Westport (it and neighbouring Wilton are basically a collection of strip malls) when my family goes to Connecticut. I have never seen anyone who looked Arab or who looked like they might adhere to Islam, so comments blaming them will be made out of ignorance.

14. #12, no...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.10.11)
Did you actually read this article? Are you familiar with Connecticut? The state both my father and I were born in? Are you familar with how police function there? The cops there are rabid to get any sort of action and trust me, something like this gets them going just so they can look like real police for once (normally they arrest people for letting their dogs roam; I am not kidding). It said they didn't make an arrest yet, but that doesn't mean they won't. We do not even know yet if the crime had anything to do with them being Israeli or if it was something more illicit. It is usually best to wait for some more facts to emerge before jumping to conclusions.
15. Subject: #12, do you actually know what you are talking abou
IAF Girl ,   Ramat HaSharon   (12.10.11)
One thing about YNet is there is no shortage of Israelis and people from other countries acting like they have a clue about anything that goes on in the United States. I hope you realise that way things are done varies greatly from state to state and usually it is best to trust the opinions of the natives.
16. No kiddin' ??? ,...

I hadn't realized that Arabs had their relgious symbos tatooed on their foreheads, or that they walked around waving flags emblazoned with a star & cresent, or that they wore placards declaring they're Arabs Have you ever been to an Arab village?, they came in every skin color & size & shape Red haired Arabs (Courtesy of the Crusaders or Circassian's) There is no such thing as "looked Arab", you have just said a most ignorant thing

Who know. May be #1 is right.
20. Kuti
Tal Segal ,   Westport, CT, USA   (12.10.11)
As a resident of Westport, CT and the godson of the victim, I think this story is out of control. It seems that this tragedy occurred just because the killer wanted some valuables, not because the targets were Israeli. It happens to be that a majority of jewelers are from Israel, and I think this guy just wanted some valuables. The victim by the way, was Yekutiel Zeevi, a man who loved life, America, his family/friends, and his work. This story is not what Westport needs, or Connecticut for that matter. Westport does not have people willing to take other's lives just because of their background. People like Kuti are valued members of the fabric of the Westport communitity and this is a devastating blow to my family, Westport, and the global communitity. May Kuti rest in peace
21. #20 Condolences to your family
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.10.11)
The killer was careless and left many clues including a witness. It seems he was known to your godfather as he was allowed to enter the office after business hours and return a second day. This seems more like a personal dispute.

Actually, when you have lived in a place as diverse as New York (over 800 languages spoken in our city), you start to see differences in physical characteristics (sometimes obvious, sometimes very subtle) that let you consciously or subconsciously (the way it works for me) distinguish someone's background. Of course it seems like most of the Muslims in the city are Punjabi oddly enough! Though I did have some friends who were African Muslims (one being Somali) and my best male friend was an Egyptian Arab Muslim. Living in a diverse city has many benefits.
23. #20, unfortunately the English language doesn't have a word
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.11.11)
to properly express the sorrow you must feel or the injustice. I hope that the police catch the killer soon. If I may offer a bit of advice though. It might be nice to go to Kartbridge and sit by the Sawgatuck River. It would be a good place for one to think on their fond memories of their lost loved one. May he rest in peace.
