Unlike our current president, Newt Gingrich has been involved in politics for a very long time, he has strongly supported Israel long before he decided to run for president, and if you don't remember he was the speaker of the house under Bill Clinton. I certainly agree with Newt Gingrich here. What baffles me is the article's "explanation": Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has long forsworn violence against Israel... I don't recall his forswearing violence against Israel, but he *has* put it on hold for a while since that's politically expedient at the moment. The Palestinian Charter, AIR, calls for the destruction of Israel. How is this not violent? He just *looks* better in comparison to Hamas.
