The chips used in the drones are made in China. No doubt the Iranian got the stealth code in the chips to record key strokes and then poof, they landed the craft at their air base. The RQ-170 has the ability to detect chemicals and radioactive isotopes. That would be valuable information on the state of Iran's nuclear weapons program. Such data cannot be obtained from space-based surveillance.
