1. its time to tell the Arabs...
Golan ,   modiin   (12.11.11)
if they want a state they will have to make peace with Israel. If you are a so called "Palestinian" supporter or activist, its time to tell your own side to do the deed and accept Israel as a Jewish state in the land of Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and its right to exist, live, and flourish.
2. It saddens me that the UN uses such tricks.
rebecca ,   Modiin   (12.11.11)
The Palestinians we expect this of. The UN, we expect to behave according to their charter, not just to change it. But then this conference was in Durban.
3. PA Attempts to Upgrade...
Bruria   (12.11.11)
Remember the UN is dominated by the OIC (google it), an organization of Arab countries whose objective is to eliminate Israel, among other things. It is time everyone do their homework...
4. It saddens all that the USA uses financial blackmail
r cummings ,   london UK   (12.11.11)
to prevent a Palestine state emerging. They truly are in Israel's pocket, AIPAC makes sure of that via its 'campaign donations', which in any more law-abiding country might more accurately be termed 'bribes'.
5. @ r cummings
R Shorrock ,   Lake Placid, US   (12.11.11)
So to use your own logic, then, the UN is in the back pocket of the Palestinian Authority!
6. #3 OIC an organization of Arab States??
Nour ,   Palestine   (12.11.11)
Your words are very telling of your ignorance. If only 23 nations are part of the Arab League, when did all of the OIC members (57) become Arab ?! You had to be notified of your laughable ignorance, I couldn't resist!
7. Jordan is Palestine baby. 78%land, and 80%people
Hippocrates ,   Earth   (12.11.11)
8. Like a thief in at night, attempting to circumvent all ...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.11.11)
... proper international norms, and some still are ready to hand over to them a "state"... What a cynical world...!!
9. Amazing....
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.11.11)
The guys at the UN (delegates from other nations, etc.) speak of these false high-minded ideals about Palestinians that so many have been conned into believing; however, the moment we threaten to remove their funding it's like a cold splash of reality and they turn somewhat reasonable. Kind of reminds of that show Ranma....
10. To #9 Henry from New York...a question for you
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (12.11.11)
Did your ever study Hebrew at an ulpan on Emek Rephaim in Jerusalem about twenty years ago? I was pretty friendly with a Henry from NY around that time. If I remember correctly, he was a cook of some kind in an Old City yeshiva.
11. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.11.11)
Smug you. Most of us do not draw a distinction between Arab terror states and Islamic terror states. You are all fruit of the same poisonous tree, which is to say -- you're all the same garbage. I couldn't resist telling you like it is. In any event, how did you like the most recent smackdown? Looks like the ersatz "Palestinians" have far fewer friends than they thought and that the State of Israel has far more friends than the ersatz "Palestinians" realize. Oops! Not exactly the first -- or second, or third, or ten millionth -- time you people overplayed your hand, now, is it? Your ignorance is laughable.
12. There is no Arab state
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling - Germany   (12.11.11)
There never was an Arab state in the region which is wrongly called Palestine! The only correct name for the territories is: The disputed territories of Judea and Samaria with temporary and stateless Arab inhabitants. There is no functioning government. There is no defined territory of such a state. There is no peoples of this state. There is no Arab state! BUT There is a Jewish state! We all know why! And it's their own fault. It's long enough ago, that they should accept their mistake and swallow the consequences. There is a virtual state of Palestine. This state exists in the sick brains of some Arab terrorists.

Donations are donations, with the donor hoping they will have some influence on policy. This is part and parcel of the democratic system. They are not bribes, and it is difficult to think of a more ridiculous statement than one in which you accuse the US of not being a basically law-abiding country. Wait! I though of one more ridiculous: when you state "it saddens all..." You will be sorely disappointed should you seek the truth. Speak for yourself please.
14. #13 is absolutely correct, it's called the "spoils system"
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.11.11)
