1. Another tempest in a teapot
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
.... created by the very ones who allege that Israeli democracy is "threatened." Freedom of expression is one of the founding pillars of democracy. You cannot have it both ways, or only when it suits you. What a bunch of hypocrites. By the way, most of us don't really care about the sensibilities of terrorists. I don't really care about the sensibilities of Moslems either. They seem to feel themselves perfectly free to draw all the disparaging cartoons involving Israel and Jews -- but let one European cartoonist poke gentle fun at their pedophile "prophet," and they get their knickers all in a twist.
2. Why do we (IDF) grace the sick Brits with an explanation?!
tom ,   tel aviv   (12.12.11)
3. everyone knows the british media is completetly bias!!!!!!
rachel   (12.12.11)
More PALLYWOOD. with all the horror of thousands being killed in syria ....they have to keep up with Israel ....let them go sail to syria if they have any guts
4. The British and Lawrence of Arabia
Tom ,   USA   (12.12.11)
Anyone who follows the news closely cannot hide one's revulsion at the incessant manifestation of British Israel hatred. Boycott initiatives, secret gov.ment financing of anti-Israeli groups, threat of arresting Israeli politicians, the EU chief woman's Israel bashing mantras...the British media, BBC all ganged up to eradicate Israel. Let's see folks, this is not rational but an emotional deep seated hatred which goes back to the Concentration camps in Cyprus for the Holocaust survivors at pre-Israel times. Then Sir John Glubb "pasha's" Arab Legion tried to kill the Jews: ever since Lawrence of Arabia the Britons cannot forgive the loss of this tiny piece of sand to the Arabs they love with full hearts. Given Britain weight, their open Israel hatred is more influential then the "pure" Aryans' of the North. Even the French is more mellow than the vicious British.
5. BREAKDOWN
David ,   New York, NY   (12.12.11)
Of course it is hypocritical of the British, BUT it is against IDF policy and just ASKING for trouble to post any personal expresssions regarding operational details of the IDFon the so-called "social media." This follows only recently Kamm, the dope-dealing katsin, and the very recent exposure of classified technology on Facebook. I am not in a position to know exactly what the remedy is for this breakdown in IDF discipline but whether in policy, personnel or both, there must be a stop to this kind of stuff.
6. really bad idea
DrGato   (12.12.11)
Using twitter to communicate on such a subject is such a bad idea - the attenuated strings, use of abbreviations, all make it so easy for someone to read flippancy or disrespect into the words. Even more so for someone who is not a native speaker of English. Official twitter or not, suggest the IDF require the spokespeople to stay off this medium. It is a disaster waiting to happen.
7. "I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings by writing 'fail'
split ,   US   (12.12.11)
Obviously ;) ,... You can make such a joke after murdering a protester hurling rocks at armored vehicle only being raised with a conviction that you're better, a Herrenrasse and the rest of us are nothing but trash ,...
8. British Outrage
NYC Girl   (12.12.11)
Will the British media exhibit this degree of anger the next time an Israeli baby has its throat slit from ear to ear? Talk about selective outrage.
9. Who cares?
William ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
Atleast the officer didn't hand out candies, and was not joined by 10,000 people to celebrate this activists' death like "Palestinians" do when they kill an Israeli child. This activist twit was violent against an armed force, and is a regular as cited by Johnathan Pollack, so eventually his time would be up. No one should feel bad for the activists or upset at the soldier.
10. Oh my Goodness, well
John Phee ,   Sydney AUSTRALIA   (12.12.11)
The same journalist don't seem to think it was a bad think to have street parties & celebrate to murder of the Fogels & their children. The British journalists are pathetic hypocrites. Its a pity the the British journalists are not held accountable for thie one sided hypocrisy. A life lost, any life, is a waste.

12. IDF officer 'mocks' protestor's death
Alan Feinstein ,   San Jose, CA   (12.12.11)
Who cares if the IDF officer mocks a palestinian protestor death. I'd do the same thing. Further more don't think the palestinians don't moke the deaths of Isreali that they kill!!!
13. Another denial
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (12.12.11)
Another sign of moral decay of unaccountability, of refusing to see that anything we do is wrong, misjudged, misguided. And for the record the Telegraph is one of Israel's staunchest defenders.
14. The Telegraph is splitting hairs to suit their..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (12.12.11)

21. Typical Brit media, never let the facts get in the way.
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE   (12.12.11)
22. WRONG squared
Steve ,   USA   (12.12.11)
Given current events in region (Syria) this trivial story is merely another installment of agenda driven hyperbole in the thin guise of "journalism". Having said that the officer responsible should face serious charges for conduct unbecomong an officer. Military operations and/or their aftermath are not something to discuss with his little followers on Twitter like it was some film review.
23. tweets and opium
Benjamin ,   Asia   (12.12.11)
The tweet of of an IDF officer is nothing compared to the opium pushed into the throats of the Chinese in the 19th century!
