Moshe ,   Jerusalem   (12.12.11)
2. Waqf
Keren ,   IL-BR   (12.12.11)
Too much time have passed since Moshe Dayan confounded happiness to stupidity. It is time to take those keys back once and for all. Muslims can go there, but the control must be ours and Jews must enter that compound freely,or,at least according to Judaism rules. I remember back in the end of 1973 or 1989,I am not sure,I myself freely entered that compound, inclusively inside of what is today a mosque and there were no problems as today's. I think that must come back and we must have freedom in our land and in what belong to us.
3. This will make Jihadists happy...
Z-man ,   Pest, Hungary   (12.12.11)
that Jews are not allowed to enter the Temple mount by the government of the allegedly Jewish State
4. @2 I was up there two weeks ago...
watcher ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
no problems in going up and no problems in walking around. and yes I am Jewish. So like what are you bubbling on about?
5. #2 Dear Karen please feel free
Haim ,   TA   (12.12.11)
Please feel free to march on to the temple mount on a friday evening waving your flag. If anyone stops you just mention about its your land and how free you feel. Good luck
6. You know what?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
"Mugrabi" is a corruption of the word "Maghreb." That would be the area of French-speaking North Africa, naely, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. So much for the ersatz "Palestinians" being "indigenous peoples." Send them to Algiers, Casablanca and Tunis. They CERTAINLY have no place in our country -- and the very names they apply to things prove it most adequately.
7. I was there in 1967,
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (12.12.11)
with freedom to come and go. Arabs have best access from their quarter in Old City, yet they chose to rub shoulders from the proximity of the western wall. Har Habeit is ours, it is criminally irresponsible to abandon our rights We have to assert our ownership again, allowing arabs access from their quarter meantime we have to have unfettered access to our mount I have never held the opinion that we have to wait till mashiah comes. That is superstitious mumbo jumbo to rationalise a disaster, and give hope & comfort, invented by ibn maimon and the school that preceded him. Israel is the nearest entity we have to the concept of Maschiah provided of course it learns to ride the donkey.
8. LMAO @6 Maghrab = West & Mugrabi = Western
Elisheva ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
they are arabic words. What is this woman going on about? Is she for real? Maybe if she learned Hebrew and Arabic she'd really be able to give us a run for our money. Meantime she's just another TB joke!
9. entire hamas leadership need cleanising
marcel   (12.12.11)
all of top hamas leadership should be dispatched to allah in their white sheets-haniyeh number one. this is a scum leadership, terror, who throw people off buildings, the hands of bloody terror that gul says is peace, that lying pasha no different than the early 1900s when turks were planning to ethnically cleanse jews. israelis in the south should develop home made rockets and fire them proportionately as the whores of the human right council pillay and others insist on proportionality. Looking at the dictators of the middle east and they were blood thirsty, they were civilized compared to this garbage heap. Beyond the ayatollah illegal entity in iran, the man most responsible for helping to bring in this filth is jimmy carter, that arab loving money grubber of the carter centre.
10. Blow up the al-aqsa mosque
jos ,   israel   (12.12.11)
and build the New jewish Temple insted.
11. @2 and 7 u know...
Aliza ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
there's an Israeli Police station on Temple Mount there's another one outside of one of the gates - the Machkame Police and Border Patrol Station. In order to get onto Temple Mount one undergoes a security check by Israeli Border Patrol Officers. May-be you two ought to realize that it is 12 Dec 2011! then maybe you'll see the truth!
12. Sarah B. Maghreb and Ma'arav share the same root....
Lee ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
yes Maghreb is Arabic for West Ma'arav is Hebrew for West Mugrabi is Arabic for Western Ma'aravi is Hebrew for Western see the common root? That's because both are semitic languages. Semitic Languages are what people in the know speak here in Israel. (in other words girl friend stop politizing everything sometimes words are just words!)
13. Religious war ?
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (12.12.11)
HAMAS calls the closing of the bridge a " religious war " . Well , I'm arab of Jerusalem but I'm not religious . So, what's happening there does not affect me at all !
14. Oh come on now, this is simply not fair!
Henry from new York ,   USA   (12.12.11)
I will never get to go up to the Temple Mount now! My first and second times in Israel I was only in Jerusalem on the weekend and it was prohibited. In 2011, I was finally there with my dad and eagerly waiting to ascend to the Temple Mount with him until I found out it was off-limits to non-Muslims because of the holy month of Ramadan. We had arrived one day too late. Now I hear about this and so regardless of when I visit Jerusalem next year, I still won't be able to go up to it. Does Yahweh not want me to do so or something? I'm not even Orthodox!
15. @Sarah B. since when are USA/Israel our country?
Bilha ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
Last I checked they were two separate sovereign nations! honest they are two countries! You failed geography didn't you?
16. 315, she probably lives in both countries at different times
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.12.11)
17. #13 - hahaha - nice comment, thanks.
William ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
18. Hamas has already declared a religious war
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.12.11)
Their charter states that one of their goals in the genocide of every Jew in the world. Might as well start fighting back.
19. Who Cares What Terrorists Say!!!
(12.12.11)
hamas Has No Right to Incite or Confuse Ignorant arabs as they do. When The arabs Give Back Our Temple Mount; Where Once Stood the House's Of Hashem maybe and only maybe they might have a say! Until arabs Stop The Abomination and Blastphamy on The Jewish Capital and Temple Mount could there be Any Type of progress. And we All know this will NEVER HAPPEN. Not pessimism Just Reality!!!!!!!!!!!!
20. #10 Jos Wow I Couldn't Agree More
(12.12.11)
if Not, Let them move it Once And For All!!! Baruch Ha Shem
21. Excuses
IlanaB   (12.12.11)
Looking for excuses to blame Israel and then incite. STUPID!
22. amazing garbage
observer   (12.12.11)
'A municipal statement warned against a second Carmel Fire which may erupt if a fire breaks out in the area. ' What utter claptrap! Can a primitive wooden structure set amongst a stone complex set fire to anything? The idiot was scaremongering, and other idiots have repeated his garbage. 'Jews will not be allowed to enter the Temple Mount once the bridge is closed. ' Now that's a real declaration of was for Hamas, I must say. Each side is as silly as the other.
23. Tell Jordan to cough up the money for a steel bridge to
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (12.12.11)
built....or better yet a stone bridge that matches the walls of old Jerusalem stone.
24. I recall when ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
... the Taliban dynamited ancient stone statues of Buddha because they thought its presence "desecrated" the purity (yuk!) of Islam. Under those same principles -- however despicable -- there really is nothing preventing Israel from dynamiting the Al Aqsa mosque, and rebuilding our Temple. You know -- to restore the purity of Judaism. Hey, sauce for the goose; sauce for the gander. There is no place for an ugly blue mosque in Jerusalem of gold. Let's restore our Temple to its ancient, rightful place and to hell with what the rest of the world may think.
25. #22
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.12.11)
I think the Carmel Fire analogy refers to the possibility of the bridge collapsing on the women massed for prayer nearby, killing tens or hundreds. Hamas, Jihad and Fatah are all at war with Israel already. They make these declarations because they win whatever happens. If Netanyahu keeps the bridge closed and prevents Jews from accessing the Mount, they will declare that they intimidated him. If Netanyahu opens the bridge and it is convenient for them, they will start riots like they did in 2000.
26. To: No. 22
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
I agree with you. That eyesore of a blue building and the rickety old bridge really constitute amazing garbage. The sooner we get rid of both, the better. "declaration of was for Hamas?" Interesting slip of the finger but, here too, you are correct. Hamas is on the verge of becoming a "was."
27. Sarah B's chops have been busted!
Max ,   USA   (12.12.11)
Since she has no answer to TBers 8,12 and 15 she's carried on with "the running at the mouth spewing hate thing" she does so well. Sarah B when u going to learn HUMILITY? Woman Up! Admit you are wrong!
28. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
And sometimes they are not. Interesting that the Maghreb is in the WEST, isn't it? What the hell does it have to do with Eretz Israel? While I thank you for the Hebrew and linguistics lesson, I assure you neither was necessary. I'm reasonably certain that my Hebrew is much better than yours, and I KNOW that my linguistic skills far exceed yours.
29. #24, I'm thinking you're not the real Sarah, but I'll...
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.12.11)
respond. The blue one is not the al-Aqsa Mosque, it is the Dome of the Rock (which looks rather nice in my opinion). The al-Aqsa is the wide plain one near the edge of the platform; overlooking Ir David if my memory suits me. Destroying either building would rank among the dumbest mistakes in human history as it would result in World War III and massive loss of life in many places. I am against building a fourth temple (the Herodian renovations basically made a new temple) for one specific reason. I don't want a Grand Cohen. If I wanted a pope I'd convert to Catholicism.
30. #28, you're thinking too large scale
Henry from new York ,   USA   (12.12.11)
it most likely means on the western side of the platform.
