trade at all. Great work IAF! Keep the people at home safe so that hopefully the IDf never has to go beyond Israel's borders (not that they wouldn't do a great job, but no good person wants dead Israelis).
3. THIS is the Shalit deal payoff for Israel
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (12.12.11)
The IDF has the freedom of action against Gaza terrorists that it did not previously have. So who were the winners from the deal and who were the losers? THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
4. The Israeli strike
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.12.11)
The pinpoint strike conducted by Israel was a strike upon a legitimate military target. It is not the fault -- nor is it the responsibility -- of Israel that civilians may have perished. Hamas bears exclusive responsibility, because they chose to place a fully legitimate military target in a crowded civilian area. Hamas -- and, by extension -- Hezbollah have now been put on warning. Taking care to avoid collateral damage is nice in principle, but it does not trump destruction of military targets. All civilian deaths which may occur as a result of legitimate Israeli military strikes accrue exclusively to the terrorist organizations who deliberately cache weapons in schools, mosques and hospitals (thereby turning them into legitimate military targets) and operate from within crowded civilian areas. The gloves are off. Here's a news flash: Challenge Israel very much to your peril. If no one else in the world cares about indiscriminate civilian deaths, Israel doesn't have to care, either. If enough civilians die in the course of Israel's completely legitimate retaliation, perhaps the civilians will rise up and throw off the chains of the ruthless terrorists that constitute -- for lack of a better word -- their "leadership." Terrorist organizations need to understand that they can no longer count on Israeli goodwill and caution with respect to collateral damage. We will make them pay, and pay dearly for each and every missile fired into Israel.
5. I saw the same secondary explosions during Case Lead
William ,   Israel   (12.12.11)
when the IDF hit mosques containing explosives. Hamas and Leftists claim no weapons were stored there, even though military experts sided with the IDF in their assessment. Per Geneva Convention, using human shields does not negate the legitimacy of a target during time of war.
6. When will Pal TV and the BBC....

Kudos to you for such an excellent commentary. I couldn't agree anymore. Let us use every chance we get to let them know where they stand and where they will fall. Regards
14. Legitimate Target
BG ,   NYC, USA   (12.13.11)
Geneva Convention IV ARTICLE 28 "The presence of a protected person may not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations." The Convention also indicates that any harm to civilians used as human shields is the direct responsibility of the party so using them and not of the party engaged in legitimate warfare.
15. Pin Point accuracy is great but...
Jack ,   PA, USA   (12.13.11)
In the coming 5 front war it should not ben incumbent on Israel to do pint point strikes against enemies foreign and domestic, should not allow a difference between any military target and should declare ahead of time they shall destroy 1/4 radius wherever a missile is fired from, make they the Hamas and Hezbollah and fifth column with in Israel responsible to police their own populations just as Syria and Iran and perhaps even Egypt will be responsible., systems are in place to allow for tracking of fire from one area and Daisy cutters and all measures should be employed to take out the foes as quickly as possible. Unfortunately civilian centers shall be used by the terrorists and they shall be the first to go.

19. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.13.11)
"Kids?" The "children" of Gaza have been attending terrorist training camps pretty much since they were old enough to walk. They have been deeply indocrinated to want to destroy Israel and exterminate the Jews pretty much since they were old enough to talk. They dress up as suicide bombers for class photo day at school. They wave toy guns in the air while screaming "Death to the Jews." There ARE no "kids" in Gaza, just terrorists of various ages and sizes. And if a child comes running up to you and defies an order to stop -- you don't know if he is holding a grenade or not. We KNOW they are trained to throw grenades at what passes for summer camp in Gaza. You don't take the chance. There isn't a single combat soldier in the world that would take that chance. Frankly -- the way they are raised, these Gaza "children" are better off dead. Certainly the Jews are better off with them dead -- fewer terrorists down the road, you know? Sounds callous, but there you have it. Here, too -- the blame lies squarely with Hamas.

ltrail ,   United States   (12.28.11)
What an evil group, Hamas. Locating their arsenal in a populated civilian area. The so-called palestinians must bring those criminals to justice if they really want to live in peace.
