I understand they think they are tough because they have two times the per captia GDP that they had before Putin, but it's temporary. Their military is decaying and the money will dry up soon. They lost the Cold War by destroying their economy and could never compete with us in the first place. It is time for them to accept a nice quiet role; maybe they'll be great again some day, but it won't be any time soon.

No doubt, but the US could be saved by a strong and decisive leader (the one Obama was supposed to be). We aren't as reliant on one thing. That is Russia's mistake and the mistake of many of the Arab nations.
Of course, I don't know what anyone could do to fix the US, and let's face it, most economists don't either. Maybe if we somehow brought manufacturing back here? I don't know.

The violence in Syria has a common factor with all the victims of the so called "Arab Spring", this factor of course is western intelligence agencies fomenting the upheaval.
The plan is to install a Muslim Brotherhood Caliphate in the Middle East and North Africa by utilizing the U.N. under the guise of humanitarian concerns. The West creates the atmosphere of violence and when the regime's respond to maintain order a common theme is circulated through western media, "Massacre"!
The West has bargained that if they aid the Muslim Brotherhood to hierarchy that they will be granted favorable access to key resources in the region, while at the same time they have willingly put Israel in an even more deadly situation! Believe the media hype if you will.
