tom ,   tel aviv   (12.14.11)
it: In their sheer stupidity they've handeled the Lunatic Left a prime piece of propaganda tool, that will be put to endless use. I am sure the Judeo-Quislings can't believe their own luck. All that, while the moronic left-wing policies are on a panic-stricken flight! Geniuses, really!!
2. "Our finest sons"
Philip . ,   Afula, Israel   (12.14.11)
Me thinks not.

4. the left
joe sombrero ,   usa   (12.14.11)

5. Risks
zivron   (12.14.11)
A Temporizing risk was taken with the Gaza withdrawal and now eygpt has no excuse not to.help the gazan Arabs who fought the partition plans before ww two that would have saved millions of Jews and set the model l Islamic Jewish reconciation commonwealth a sure super power.
6. To the "activist" or "rightist", whatever
R ,   Israel   (12.14.11)
"Our youth have been slapped in the face by the state" - The state and all its citizens have been slapped in the face by you rioters. This government was elected democratically and whether or not you or I like it is immaterial. It is the will of the people and your group which is a minority cannot impose its will on all the citizens of Israel. When enemies from outside our people attack you, how much motivation will our soldiers have to protect you when you attack them and spit in their faces?
7. "Our finest sons" ? Settlers spit on every citizen of Israe!
Dovid ,   Los Angeles   (12.14.11)
How much longer will Israelis put up with the lies of the settlers and their supporters, and their hypocritical self-righteous doublespeak?
8. {Peace Now should have been filming
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (12.14.11)
9. What's the difference?
Barry Winters ,   Edmonton Canada   (12.14.11)
Arabs throw rocks and molotov cocktails at settlers and IDF troops in Allahas name. They are terrorists. Settlers throw rocks, and moltov cocktails at IDF troops because Hashem says they land is theirs. Whats the difference? The hallmark of a western democracy is respect for and the supremacy of the rule of law So what is Israel?
10. Remove barak and the not-supreme court then peace among Jews
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.14.11)
11. Breakdown in confidence in our leaders
Israeli grandma   (12.14.11)
Many people believe that Ehud Barak is behind this disastrous breakdown in communication between the Government and the governed. Ramat Gilad, was legally purchased by Moshe Zar many years ago, and the local Arabs accepted his ownership and he and his family farmed there for years. Suddenly Barak is treating this established community as illegal. Also the fact that there is now a whole generation of young people who were victims of the ethnic cleansing of Gush Katif is going to haunt us for a long time.
12. left n right
hanni ,   carmel   (12.14.11)
in social protest tel aviv tent city v police result; eviction in west bank settlers v police result: ? .
13. The geroush of Katif and the pigua of Amona barely scratches
Kerwood Derby   (12.14.11)
the surface of the "Iron Fist" that BB and his meraglim partner Barak level on those who love the land of their forefathers and is named for them. These are just further evidence of the regimes that disenfranchise the electorate who elected them to remove a threat and instead issue illegal orders to destroy the lives of the citizens they serve. BB and Barak should not have to be reminded that they serve the electorate and not vice a versa.
14. #10 bunnie meyer its not your bussiness
Avi ,   Israel   (12.14.11)
You are not Israeli, you are not an israeli voter, and cant even commit to making aliah. So i would suggest you mind your own bussiness and keep out of ours.
15. Not Planned!!! but they came from all over the country.
Mike ,   Raanana Israel   (12.14.11)
Your full of it. Obey the law or face the music its simple. As I said yesterday in my posts. Put your hand on an IDF soliders, suffer the results. If you love the land as you claim then please re-claim Gush catiff without the IDF, or when your kind are hurt (Itamar) dont complain that the IDF is not protecting you. Frankly your not worth having my guys hurt protecting you anylonger. But I will continue to follow orders.
16. Idf and yassam should stop behaving like cossacks
Trumpeldor   (12.14.11)
destroying Jewish properties and expellings woen, kids and babies at dawn. Do you get it ,mr Barak ????
17. Response to hani, carmel
Yitz   (12.14.11)
Hani dear, on every single "demonstration" for "social change" for bolshevism in the summer in TA, every single one there have been violent, activeley violent acts against the Police with some/many arrests who have been shortly released of course, because ot their sacred cow status. I wonder what is the true reason you and this paper/site did not start a hate-campaign against the "social activist" traitors in general and its leaders in particular? How do you explain this anomaly? Normal people want to vomit.
18. Avi, # 14. I must defend bunnie
(12.14.11)
He is absolutely right. Why shouldn't she criticize the imperfections, blatant shortcomings of Israeli democracy, chief among them the Supreme Court far-Left dictatorship?
19. Mike, IDF - Raanana
"Hilltop youth"   (12.14.11)
Mike dear, your view is very blinkered. You are blind to your (plural) own infractions at the IDF. The IDF is so insensitive to the settlers and the youth there that it is disgusting and makes my (and I'm sure others') stomach turn. At Itamar, why the hell did you (plural) have to allow terrorists Arabs from Awarta, the village of the Fogel killers *inside* the eprmiter davkah against the expressed vishes of the Itamarans? They even suggested to do the harvest themselves for them. No. The fact of the matter is dear simpleton that the IDF has been subverted in the past 15-18 years with the active help of Brak the toad and the reasonoeus elites and they are going out of their way and well over the top to davkeh rub salt into the wounds of settlers. but what would you understand from any of this in your cosy armchair in upper class elite Raanana, hah???!
20. Shameful, disgraceful..and downright criminal
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.14.11)
So because they dont get THEIR way in the ballot box they resort to violence, threats and intimidation and WORSE attack the VERY PEOPLE commited to protecting them and the State of Israel? I would like to hear UNEQUIVOCAL condemnation from all sides of the political spectrum in Israel AS WELL AS THE so far SHOCKINGLY SILENT religious leadership who seem to have gone into hiding
21. #14. I hope your talkback was tongue in cheek..
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.14.11)
Staunch supporters of Israel in the diaspora like Bunnie are no less commited and have every right to voice an opinion So Avi..united we stand....and stop slamming doors!
22. They're not ours
Elisheva   (12.14.11)
Jewish terrorist Jack Teitel and these men are from the same mold.
23. to all the apologists
Sharon ,   israel   (12.14.11)
To all those who support these raving lunatics - you are all pathetic. You have no idea to where this type of thing leads. In the end there will be gunfire - I hope the soldiers aren't hurt.
24. 2 wrongs do not make 1 right
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (12.14.11)
The current government was put into office by the right wing vote. Now that right wing extremists are not happy with government’s actions they become lawless. It must be remembered that much of the so called settlements are in fact illegal. Since they got away with illegal action once they feel justified to continue their scuff law activities. Rioting especially against the IDF is reprehensible no matter which side does it. The only proper actions consist of the following: 1. Partition the High Court of Justice 2. Get your followers in the Knesset to vote no confidence and force new elections. Violence only leads to more violence and in the end can work against the very things you are rioting about.
25. Who does this violence serve?
Sean ,   Southampton, UK   (12.14.11)
Viewing this from far away, I don't understand who benefits from the violence. Could it be that there are people who deliberately wanted this violence to happen, so as to turn public opinion against the settlers -- making for an easy eviction of the outpost? Seems to me like the settlers fell into a well-planned trap by Ehud Barak.
26. You attack those who defend you from terrorists! Disgrace!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (12.14.11)
Try to survive in Judea and Samaria without Tzahal! When will you realize that Israel can survive without Judea and Samaria but Judea and Samaria CANNOT survive without Israel? You are destroying our country, our religion, Zionism and are endangering our people. You are turning Israel into a pariah state, despised by the world more than Iran! You are spitting on the memories of those who died fighting for our Jewish State, the home of the Jewish people so that another Holocaust would never occur! You hide behind religion but you are not doing G-d's work. You are doing the work of avarice, greed and lust for power! You are descending to the level of the Arabs and Muslims who want to kill and maim Jews! Bushah v'herpah!
27. Sean, you are right!
(12.14.11)
