1. One thing missing from the bill

A PM who won't shelve it. You have a lot of good legislation on the shelf.
2. The National Union aims once again to unmask the coalition
Tracy W   (12.22.11)
Back on February 23, 2011 the National Union submitted a bill to officially extend Israeli sovereignty over all of Judea and Samaria. Members of the coalition either walked out of the Knesset before the vote, or voted against it, along with the left and the Arab parties. So much for "right wing" coalition. Now the coalition must once again be extremely uncomfortable discussing how to handle this bill without giving away their true agenda: the partition of Israel and Jerusalem. If you don't believe this, look at the facts. One example: Israeli police does not get involved in eastern Jerusalem anymore, even when Jewish lives are at stake. Partition is being implemented in steps.
3. Part 2 - Jerusalem was never annexed in 1967
Tracy W   (12.22.11)
Investigative reporter David Bedein went through old archived documents and found that Jerusalem was never officially annexed. The legalese on those documents was deliberately obfuscated to confuse Jews. In 1967 eastern Jerusalem was given civil administration - but was never officially annexed. Most likely because the elite didn't intend to keep it, but trade it for something in the future, as they did with the Sinai, which was exchanged for a piece of paper.
4. it doesn't have a chance
zionist forever   (12.22.11)
The religious will vote against it as will Barak, & his people along with some of the more moderate members of Likud and of course Bibi himself who is afraid of upsetting the international community which is why he killed the bill which would have prevented foreign governments funding political groups in this country. It would be nice if we could pass a bill like this but fact is it doesn't have a chance in hell of passing and even if it did just watch Peres try to kill it and the rest of the Knesset trying to get the courts to overturn it.
5. Likud must make a wiser choice for it's next leader.
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.22.11)
#4. Regrettably almost everything you say about Bibi is correct. Bibi's so called leadership is a total negation of Likud's Constitution; which is as patriotic as that of any Knesset Party. Bibi is a great orator (far better than Obama) but he has none of the Churchillian courage Israel desperately needs in a leader today. It won't be long till Likud chooses it's next leader. I urge Likud members to make a wiser choice. Israel is full or wise, courageous men and women. Likud and Israel need one of them to lead.
6. We need a new law.
Vlad   (12.22.11)
Write to the MKs! Demand a law banning the status of Jerusalem from any Arab-Israeli peace talks.
7. I agree with #6
Gary ,   Clayton USA   (12.23.11)
Yes, Jerusalem is the undivided eternal capital of the state of Israel. It has been for over 2000 years (even during the period of exile) since the days of King David. In the future the Messiah will march triumphantly through the streets of Jerusalem and sit on his rightful throne. They need to stop playing games and ignore the international community and do what is right for the people of this great nation.
