Its time for the USA and Israel to join the French and vote the genocide was in fact GENOCIDE. Recall a few years ago, Turkey threatened Israel with all kinds of measures, if US Jewish Congressmen voted the genocide ( many represented huge Armenian communities). Turkey said that if US Jews dont stop it, Israel will suffer. That is an interesting link. Looks like Erdogan has gone over the edge..1st demanding Israel apologize for Turkish activists, then threatening Israeli ships if they stop the flotilla, then threatening to bomb Jewish ships which are too close, then threatening Israeli harvesting of oil in the waters off of Cyprus, then threatening Cyprus..and now France. I mean Turkey, come on. You aint China or Russia...you are gobbling too much. Like Thanksviging Turkeys..well, you get the point. Oh, France and Israel are nuclear nations, guys.

4. Erdogan is ill, unfortunately.
Marc ,   Nice, France   (12.23.11)
The french new law never mentioned the Turks, only "genocide". This is a proof that Turks commited genocide against Armenians in 1915-1917, if thevTurks feel offended by this regulation.

Herb ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.23.11)
there are accounts linking Erdogans father to the destruction of the Struma off Turkeys coast, killing hundreds of Jews escaping the Holocaust
10. Erdogan is such a whimpering...whining...child.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (12.23.11)
He knows darn well that his country participated in the mass killings and is a coward with no guts when he is lying about it. Just like the United States didn't commit genocide against the American Indians. It happened. Get over yourself Erdogan. You are getting as bad as the idiot that runs Iran. Two peas in a pod...Two monkeys staring at each other in the same cage. As the Fuhrer said....Tell a lie long enough...and everyone might believe it. Erdogan is telling a whopper.

Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.23.11)
Turkey and France, that are utterly immoral and full of themselves. They deserve each other !
13. Turkey should not defend the Armenian genocide by pretending
Rivkah   (12.23.11)
it did not happen. That would be like Germany defending Adolf Hitler whose actions cannot be defended. Armenians in America are so terrified of another genocide they have their own arsenals and militias and methods of warning of attacks. An attack on one is an attack on all is how the Armenians view genocide. They don't drop their guard and they would not be that way if there had not been a genocide long ago in the Caliphate. The French are guilty of genocide of their own people: the Hugenot Protestants by the Papists and the Aristocracy during the French Revolution. Each country has its shame to remember and hopefully not repeat.

Dont forget to tell ahanjihad about the atrocious deportation of jews to the velodrome right in the middle of super civilized paris and the subsequent deportation to the gas chambers that nuclear a haman jihad denies he is aiming at.
16. That's no excuse.
Michael ,   West Jerusalem/NY   (12.23.11)
Frances history does not change the fact that Turkey committed genocide just like the Germans did in WW2. Also how is this bill a example of islamophobia in France?
17. #5 Muhamad
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (12.24.11)
Erdogan was not sane to begin with. We always knew that. His kind can't be silent. He always needs a diversion to cover his tracks. The monkey in Tehran and most Arab follow the same policy.
18. FRANCE AND TURKEY.
SJOERD RUURD VAN DER ,   MULTIVERSE   (12.23.11)
INSTEAD OF CONDEMNING EACHOTHER, FRANCE AND TURKEY (AND EVERY OTHER COUNTRY.) IN SUCH A CASE SHOULD MIND IT''S OWN BUSINESS. AN INSTITUTION LIKE THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1945 TO SETTLE/TO SOLVE SUCH AN ISSUE AT THE SERVICE OF MANKIND.

20. To Michael #16
Maurice ,   Los Angeles, USA   (12.24.11)
There is only one indivisible Jerusalem. The attempt to describe areas in east or west Jerusalem only serve Israel's enemies.
21. Sarkozy is pathetic!!!
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (12.24.11)
The French president, and most of his people, are trying to ignore the fact that today's France is not the France of Napoleon in the early 19:th century that controlled most of Europe. It tries to play the moral role model, while ignoring its own dark past. And present (economic cooperation with the likes of Burma, China, Saudi Arabia and Ben Ali's Tunisia etc). If it wasn't for the generosity and massive EU funding from countries like Germany, UK, the Netherlands and Sweden, France of 2011 would be like Greece: a proud past, but a poor, pothetic laughing stock today.
22. No country is innocent
Robert ,   Australia   (12.24.11)
One would have thought lessons would have been learned by many countries since those times. Erdogan is right in pointing out France, as well many other countries have a dark past. Some have a dark present. Maybe one of the the most striking examples of a lesson not being learned is the US's "shoot first and ask questions later" behaviour across the world. They wonder why they are hated around the world.
23. #14 pointing at you
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.24.11)
The US butchered 500,000 Koreans, 1,000,000 Vietnamese, 250,000 Iraqs, 250,000 Afghanistanis, etc. etc.
24. Turkey/Erdogan
tzatz ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.24.11)
It was Adolf Hitler who said INFAMOUSLY: "Who, after all, speaks to-day of the annihilation of the Armenians?" After telling his commanders to "mercilessly and without compassion [KILL], men, women, and children" in the coming war! That's what Sarkozy is remembering … a GENOCIDE perpetrated on a CIVILIAN POPULATION … the Turks have yet to suffer the IGNOMINY of their actions. It's HIGH TIME THEY PAID FOR THIS CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!
25. Deaf Ears
Dony ,   Canada   (12.24.11)
This guy is all talk, no action. Hey Erdogan, sorry, but nobody gives a damn what you say. In fact, all your bluster has achieved diddly squat. Lozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzer.
26. #14 split

How many of them were guerrilla fighters and how many civilians? It's not a massacre if they die in combat.

Stop picking on the guy. He is just being an AirDogone. This ego maniac thinks that he can take on the world. This guy is capable of going Against The US, RUSSIA, and China... You have to understand were Mr. Universe is comming from.
28. Erdogan...
Joe ,   Newtown USA   (12.24.11)
if what you say is true - does this justify the Armenian genocide by the Turks ?
29. erdo is a petulant child, an infant
rick ,   walnut creek   (12.24.11)
erdo would have been correct to say that the sanctimonious french (and british) have committed massacres. the french did not commit genocide, at least not in algeria. the belgians committed genocide. of course, the russians committed genocide. and, certainly, the turks committed genocide. some of Israel's most vocal critics have atrocious records IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THERE WAS NO THREAT TO THEIR SURVIVAL! now, they use a completely different standard to evaluate Israel, which is actually threatened with mortal enemies.
30. Erdogan
Steven Kantor ,   L.A USA   (12.24.11)
I get such enormous pleasure seeing Erdogan squirm like the snake he is. How does it feel now, Mr. high and mighty Turk, to know what the western world really thinks of you? How does it feel now to know the disrespect and humiliation you have brought on your people. Do the only honorable thing; resign.
