The Armenians are a peacfull non violent people. The French are not picking on the Turks, which I define as serious accusations regarding a not too important occurrence. They are righting a wrong in recognizing a major slaughter of Armenians by Turkey. Many would say that if France picks a present day candidate, it would still be Turkey due to their attacks on the Kurds. (Yes, the Kurds have attacked Turkey, as the Algerians attacked the French. The Armenians had not attacked Turkey.)

We all hear of the horrors of the Armenian Genocide by Turkey which started on April 24, 1915 but we seem to forget the horrors committed by Turkey in Cyprus from 1974 to the mid 1980's!
