Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.25.11)
You have France passing a law that goes against the concept of free speech and Turkey trying to throw their imaginary weight around because they refuse to admit that their predecessor state committed a great atrocity. Also. #2, Erdo-whiner or something would be more appropriate as the g is apparently pronounced as a "w".

15. Freedom of speech?
Jacob Edelman ,   Burke,USA   (12.25.11)
It was not long ago that we had people like Senator Eugene McCarthy persecuting US nationals who were tagged, mind you tagged, for opinions held considered anit-American. So stop preaching and listen to what the arguments are.
16. To #15, Mr. Jacob Edelman, Freedom of speech?
Salomon S ,   São Carlos   (12.26.11)
Senator Eugene McCarthy was investigating US nationals during a war, the cold war, not for free, not for sadism. Many intellectuals were not only sympathetic to the URSS and their régime, many want it implemented in the US. Besides, the stupid Rosenberg couple passed classified information to the Soviet Union and a guy as Oppenheimer wanted the US to share the knowledge of manufacturing an A bomb with the Soviets. The "ugly" McCarthyism did not appear in void.
17. Turks are acting like Turkeys
David ,   USA   (12.26.11)
beyond embarassing. They cannot even admit to the 1.5 million innocent ARmenians they slaughtered on death marches almost 100 year ago. Live up to your mistakes. Even the Germans have greatly apologized so why cant you Turks do the same. Stop acting like Turkeys it is 2012 almost
18. Silly me! I thought France was a democracy!
Vlad   (12.26.11)
I didn't know that the President had the power to stop any law he didn't like. I thought that it was in the hands of a democratically elected Parliament!
