Well, that's why they're doing Birthright, isn't it? I'm willing to bet that a great many will opt to stay and become olim .... but even for those who don't, they will have had the experience of a lifetime and reinforced -- or learned -- what it means to be a Jew.

Just becuase we don't live here does not mean we can't support Israel to the fullest extent, i was born in ny and it is very hard to drop everything that I worked for and move to Israel, even thought I hope one day I will, u will he surprised how many Jews I know after the taglit trip ended up goin to the army or school, or they make aliyah..

so I'm guessing that at least some might make alliyah when they're finished with that. Young adult is another word for teenagers and early twenty-somethings, most of whom are busy with college and graduate school. I do hope that they can do well in the Ulpans and get good jobs in Israel.
