1. ?Annexation
Andi ,   Israel   (12.29.11)
Interesting article . Also I didn't understand why she couldn't recruit actors in the West Bank. Why would they need to enter Israel if the shoot was on the West Bank . Also this sentence was a bit misleading "Youssef's main actors had to be from the territories annexed by Israel in 1948, " This of course is a distortion of the UN partition plan which included a Palestinian Arab State but was anulled when 5 Arab armies attacked the Jewish State.
2. Nothing is produced in the Gaza strip or PA controlled areas
Sara ,   Israel   (12.29.11)
but hatred, Islamic fanatics and terrorists. Is it Israel's fault that you choose to live and treat each other like animals? Maybe this is one positive thing. I dunno. I didn't see the movie.
3.  congratulation Susan.

5. 3
(12.29.11)
yes, salma. it is better to produce films about love than terrorism any day. this is what your backwards and violent society has to realize once and for all.
6. Let us congratulate positive work!
Mea   (12.29.11)
I know independent filmmakers and it is tough going producing films. This lady should be congratulated, and so I say to her well done! It is essential that people develop a stop within themselves so that when something positive happens in Gaza or the WB, we seek to encourage other positives instead of seeing it as another opportunity to express our own hatred and prejudices. Congratulations to the film maker!
7. What An Incredible, Self-Defeating Paragraph!
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (12.29.11)
B"H "To overcome the logistical difficulties of making a film in the West Bank, Youssef's main actors had to be from the territories annexed by Israel in 1948, which meant they were Palestinians holding Israeli passports and so could pass through Israeli checkpoints into the West Bank with less hassle". No wonder, the piece is from Reuters.
8. #3 You live in a cultural void
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.30.11)
It takes the woman ten years to make a love story because of Palastinian resistance. If you want to view the movie you need to go to Europe. But if she came with ketchup bottles in hand to create bloodied bodies for anti-Israel propaganda films, this would have been slapped together in a weekend.
