Choking the straits is common knowledge...but how?
The Iranian Navy are not going to be attacking US Iraqi Saudi shipping initially..for fear of retaliation. But an Iranian Naval Officer recently reported that their strategy is to attack a softer target such as an Indian or Japanese Tanker in order to trigger Indian or Japanese splits with the US. Attacks on Indian and Japanese shipping are seen by the Iranian Navy as an excellent 'way to warn off the US and the West' without the fear of retaliation.
Mmm I thought India and Japan saw Iran as a 'good friend'?
