People who love walking like this seldom do damage intentionally. If this was a tragic error, we hope it is seen as such. If not, we hope he is quickly cleared and allowed to return home. and I hope this does not affect Israel's relations with Chili.
4. I wonder what Chile would do if the suspect was Muslim!

5. The damage to him and Israel is done
TW   (01.01.12)
Chile is and has always been very anti-Semitic. Arabs from Palestine and other areas established themselves there many decades ago and have political and financial clout . Not surprised at all that this Israeli man was singled out to bear the blame. What is the Israeli government doing about it in the meantime? Nothing? Not surprised at all about that either.

Jake Russell ,   London   (01.03.12)
Disappointing and yet predictable that the Chileans are being accused of anti-Semitism. That's always the fallback position: everyone hates us because we're Jews. Grow up. Ask the industry: Israeli backpackers are hated all over the world not because of their religion but because of their arrogant and disrespectful behaviour. I know guides from Tibet to Argentina who refuse to take Israeli clients after having been ripped off too many times by dishonest backpackers who scream 'antisemite' every time they get caught. The best thing Singer could do is put his hands up, take the hit and show the world that Israel is capable of acting with honour. But he won't.

What do you know about Argentina apart from stealing The Malvinas Islands from us? What do you know about honour? Here, israeli tourists just as any other country´s tourists are very welcomed. By the way, the israeli tourist burned toilet paper on wet earth and left only after it was extinguished. The fires started at multiple locations, none anywhere near where the tourist did his deed. That is why the Chilean court released him: he has no connection to the fire. The problem is that the Leftist press in Chile decided to go Jew-baiting instead of realizing what a tragedy the fire was for Chile. I wouldn´t call antisemite, I just would call you STUPID and PERVERT.
11. Don't worry
Claudio ,   Santiago, Chile   (01.04.12)
Chile isn't anti-semitic, and the jewish community here, along with palestinians inmigrants, also has political and financial clout. That's not the point. The problem is that authorities don't have a clue about what really happened at the National Park
12. To #10 Marucho
Jake Russell ,   London   (01.05.12)
Dear Marucho, I'm Irish mate. Never touched the Falklands. And I lived in Ushuaia from 96 to 02. Married an Argentinian. Guided in TDP and Antarctica. That answer your questions? As for Israeli tourists, go conduct your own research. I stand by what I said: they are the most arrogant, dishonest and disrespectful bunch on earth and this pathetic, childish anti-semitism excuse has got to stop.
